Looks like something just set up by a small-time outfit.

The concept of intellectual property will probably be changed to accommodate China. Every country has their own beliefs on it, and they are a world superpower. It makes no sense for them to bow to the wishes of Finland. It will be the other way around.

You guys watch the vid? Most couldn't the target and the one that did, just bounced off! So it looks like they built that whole setup with out even thinking about mass, weight, accuracy, etc. ...... lol

Your flat screen TV has an estimated lifespan of about 5 years. I can't wait until everyone figures this out. "Wait a second, I just spent $2000! What do you mean this isn't covered by warranty and I need to buy a new TV only 5 years later".

It's unbelievable how stupid we have become as consumers.

30 years ago, people didn't by Chinese products because they broke in 3 minutes. China started improving their products slightly. Now, we hit the point where Chinese products will last a few days to 2 or 3 years - and the idiots in our country purchase those products instead, because they save 5%. Is there any reason for China to improve their products further? If they do, they simply take away their perpetual market of people replacing stuff they bought a year ago.

p.s. 2 summers ago, I discovered it was impossible within a 50 mile radius to purchase a badminton set that would last more than 2 days. The only sets for sale at any store were cheap flimsy crap. I'd have gladly paid double, or even triple for a good set that would last for a generation. But, the stores that sell that level of quality have gone out of business in favor of the big blue box store.

China is just fvcking brutal, straight up. And we are brutal for buying all the sh*t they peddle. So really when we mock them we are mocking ourselves because we enable.

This is an interesting observation. In some cases and for some product lines it's literally impossible to buy anything that isn't crap without going hugely out of your way for it or buying online. It's well known that Walmart has trounced a lot of other stores and if you go in there you will not find anything of high quality for many product lines. And I buy from those happily enough because it's cheap in a lot of cases, but for example literally all of their furniture is total rubbish. Absolute, unadulterated crap.

I respect national sovereignty more than our busted copyright and patent system. If the Chinese are so evil for copying our products and ideas, then why do American companies continue to do business in China, and why does the US Govt continue selling T-bills to China?

Why? More and more Chinese are becoming middle classers, therefore, with more disposible income to spend = more sales for US companies with well know brand names.

Because of $$$ and profit. Last year, GM sold more cars (overall) in China than in the US. Global companies such as KFC, Coke, Caterpillar, GE, etc. are making more and more money in China and oversea countries.

Exactly. And I expect them to continue doing so, all the while whining about the "evil Chinese"

Even better is the fact that a ton of them fail because of the very low quality capacitors they use. It would probably cost them an extra quarter or fifty cents at the most to use good quality caps that lasted.

I have 3 nice 22" monitors that I got for free and spent less than $5 total (including shipping) and a few hours soldering... Good as new.

There have been a few nights in China where I simply couldn't find food (I don't read Chinese) so I ended up at KFC or McDonalds. The question really is are they making money on these franchises or are they copies? Coke is not making money according to my friends there. They say everything is a stolen copy.

I'm still waiting to see how this is a copyright law? It's an Analog game. If anything it will get more chinese to play the REAL game that's already available for "FREE" from google chrome.

I think the OP has a grudge against people having fun and people from china.

This made me laugh since my 4 year old TV had a cap pop a few weeks ago. Thankfully, whatever cap it was, didn't kill the TV.

Well... I am certainly not seeing any angry bird park here in US or anywhere beside china...

The US and China are two extremes when it comes to intellectual property.
China is too loose with it, which really reduces incentive to invest money in new ideas.
The US is too strict with it, and makes it too hard/prohibitive to build upon established ideas. The US used to build awesome things, including theme parks like those seen in China.

The US is a 'service based economy', because it's too expensive to try to make and sell anything else. Anything else is patented and will get you sued.

Eventually, China will start producing ideas of their own that they want to protect. Hopefully at that point, the rest of the world will have the balls to tell them they'll only enforce China's IP if China enforces the rest of the world's.

Its always funny when it comes to fair use in the United States many posters here are all for it.

But when it comes to China.........
