Why did they beat up the kid? I have no idea.

Apparently he was a geek of some sort or something like that. That school is what we call a "Band 5" school. Smartest/best kids get into Band 1, and the dumps go to Band 5. You can guess what sort of people they are.

I guess it was a good thing that they were wimps because they could of damaged him ALOT more.

I guess I just remember MY days of getting picked on at school.

Kids hit a LOT harder in those days.

And we were glad to have it. (And other old timer drivel. ;) )

Not necessarily.

That's normally what they do here in Hong Kong. Beat him just enough for no real injuries, and carefully avoid the face. That way he has no outward signs of being beaten, but is caused a lot of pain. Then the bullies can simply do it to him every day. It's an effect form of torture.

They choke you or hit you were it won't leave a mark....

I guess the fact that they TAPED it goes a long way towards explaining why they were in Band 5 school huh?

getting bullied and being in a fight is different. most of the time, bullies just want to hurt you and make you feel like. hence, they hit you in the arms, back and stomachs.

that chair throw didn't look fake to me.

I was thinking about HK since the classroom setting is so familiar and of course the uniforms too! got any links to chinese newspaper?
feel sorry for that guy...heh, my sense tells me that it is real tho and something like this did happened when I was in school there. I think that guy must be a dick to get 16 kids to beat the crap out of him tho.

I doubt it was becasue the kid was a dick. Probably one guys picked on him at first then the group mentality kicked in and then they all started to thrash on him. Something very similar to that happened at my junior high school.
