Wait, is the 10k desk the same one as on [H] or is that another one? I was never fully up to date on that whole meme but I kinda recall hearing references to it overthere. I think it was a custom built wood one that was completely over priced or something?

Have you considered alternative working lifestyles that involve relocation? After college, I hung out with a unique mix of traveling people who were square pegs in the round holes of 9 to 5 jobs, so a regular working life didn't suit them. Some ideas include:

1. Peace Corps
2. Doctors without Borders (tons of similiar aid-driven programs like this)
3. Cruise ships (musician, cook, cleaning staff, etc.)
4. #VanLife
5. Tour guide (safaris, white-water river rafting, etc.)

I have a friend who is a musician on a cruise ship. Literally travels the world for free all year round. You're stuck on a boat, but you save a lot of money & get to go all of the map! If you don't have any cooking or entertainment skills, there a tons of low-skill jobs available, such as a room steward, where you clean the rooms onboard the ship (typically starts at $1,200/mo). The pay isn't much better than working at McDonalds, but you get room & board, and get to travel, so that's pretty cool!

It also sounds like you are religiously-motivated, so you might consider a foreign-aid type of placement program where you can help people. There are volunteer programs:

https://www.projects-abroad.org/volunteer-abroad/

There are also internship programs, if you're interested in increasing your education level to be able to help people better, or to get paid:

https://www.projects-abroad.org/intern-abroad/

There's a huge, huge need for people who are willing to work:

https://reliefweb.int/

Tons of volunteer opportunities:

https://www.goabroad.com/volunteer-abroad

Even if you don't have experience:

https://travelfreak.com/work-abroad-without-experience/

If you look carefully, you can sometimes find fully-funded volunteer opportunities, so you don't have to shell out any money to get onboard one:

https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/how-volunteer-abroad-free

That might be a good option, if you're strapped for cash & are having trouble finding a job that meets your income requirements locally...find a funded overseas volunteer program to join, see the sights, travel, help people out, etc.

No I'm doing worse now. I got a part-time job and is bearable but my life in the wilderness is deteriorating. This morning somebody broke in to my car. The driver side window is shattered. The b-piller of the door is bent....I was working on fixing my brake rotor and the caliper set this morning...left my car unattended (locked) for 20 minutes to get something to eat and this is what happened. My alarm went off, came to check on my car and there was a guy trying to steal something from my trunk. I shouted at him what are you doing with my car and he ran away...he was with other guys in their car and drove away.
They stole my rear right wheel too so it's not driveable. It would cost me thousands of dollars to fix all this shit I'm guessing.

I am pretty pissed off now ☺
Jesus should have stopped them :(

You gotta help yourself. Unless you're proposing snatching him up with stormtroopers and locking him away, Cheez needs to be his own agent of change.

I'm hoping that maybe this brief period of hardship will snap him out of what's been a long period of not understanding the value of things.

I kind of feel like we should be more responsible for this. He's in need of help.

OP, please pack it up and go to social services. They can provide food, shelter, everything.

Good for you. It's only been mentioned to the OP several dozen times across all of his threads.

It's in his hands now, and as he absolutely refuses to do anything real to help himself, all that's left is pointing and laughing.

Are you going to go pick him up from his tent, tie him up, toss him into your garage and allow him to live their rent free? That seems like the only kind of "help" that any of us would be able to offer other than the necessary, oft-given advice.

All of that, or he's just a dumb troll.

His problem is chemical. And it's in his brain. Lithium is probably what he needs

He shouldn't take our word for it, he should go talk to someone he trusts about the voices from "Jesus" in his head.

He's apparently been abandoned by the very same handful of people that helped form the very cult under which he is currently in thrall. Outside of his parents, such persons don't seem to exist.

Looks like all of the bike parts will arrive by tomorrow.. I will then pick them up at my parents' house and bring them home and put things together:grin: then next day I will try to have bike shop to fix my brakes and dress up my handlebar with pretty cork. That heavy-duty dog cage will come later.. I will need help carrying that to my place.

Jesus should have stopped them :(
Jesus didn't stop that so I can have pain and suffering...it's for the benefit for other lost souls...or to prevent from catastrophic events from occurring in the world... but my soul is really tired and I don't want my credit debt pile up..:(

Maybe Cheez should go see a preacher or a priest and talk about his problems with Jesus. Maybe they can help him out?

Don't take our word for it? Talk to the pros!
What are you talking about I am the pro.. those pastors and preachers can come to me for consultations and enlightenment. After all, it all boils down to following the spirit of God and not going out of your own ways...and you have to establish and maintain relationship with Jesus daily every moment.

I'm twice your age... 43.

I will post pics/video of my bike once it gets up and running... the dog cage as well and how to go about storing my food

I'd like to see pics of the damaged car as well... before the repo guy takes it away, that is.

Edit: I also just noticed that Cheez is one year older than I am. I wasn't expecting that!

Yesterday morning got pretty chilly over here so enjoyed the warmth of campfire...see pic attachment.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Yeah I forgot to post them...I will take pics and post them. Yeah I may look and sound young but pretty old actually. A lot of people treat me at work as if I'm a 20 year old boy and I get offended. :unamused:

your parents know how you are living?
Yup my parents know I'm homeless and living in a tent I showed them the video of my living place.. I have to go extreme so I can start working on paying off my credit card balance...
