When I was in Consulting working 12-15hr days we would get take-out from there and eat at the client site. Never ate there on my own dime, and its been 10+yrs since Ive tasted their food.

The Jambalaya pasta, Jamaican Chicken, & Chicken Madeira were my go to's.

I used to like to eat at the original one in Beverley Hills when I lived in LA, and the shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta was always really good. Never have been impressed by any other plate I have tried there though, and not sure if the other locations stack up to the one in Beverley Hills. The white chocolate raspberry cheesecake is a must IMO.

When I was dragged to Cheesecake Factory years ago I would make it a point to find and order the simplest stuff on the menu like steak or a burger and a salad just because there was a small chance some of it might be freshly prepared. (sticking frozen crap into Chef Mic does NOT count as fresh!)

A couple times I made the mistake of trying stuff like Pot-Stickers or seared Ahi tuna but not surprisingly they were bland and gross.

EDIT: They DO however have very good deserts and not only Cheesecake!

I've never been, and I'm not sure what circumstances would lead to me going there.

Got the Chicken Madeira on your recommendation:

It was good.
and lots of gravy for the mash potatoes.
but next time, will probably substitute a salad for it. TOO.MUCH.CARBS

I also order the calamari ($15.50):

Holy tentacles Batman!
It was like 50% tentacles. :(
I only ate the rings and left the tentacles alone.

When the waitress asked how is everything, i told her about the calamari.
she said she'll get me another order with less tentacles:

WTF is this?!
they removed alot of the tentacles but didnt add any additional calamari rings.
It looks like same amount of rings as in the 1st pic.
it's free so whatever. (Horrible Bad if i actually paid $15)

Have you ever actually had Calamari before?

Tentacles are considered the best part.... the rings are sorta like the white meat on a chicken... they're rubbery and have far less flavor.

What you did was like eating the claws of a lobster and throwing away the tail-meat. They most likely thought you were nuts and/or just grubbing for more/free Calamari.

The worst part is that if they gave you extra tentacles they probably thought they were hooking you up. Nice.

When I do go there I usually get the shepherds pie or if I am feeling gluttonous I get the macaroni and cheeseburger. I for one hate their cheesecake. I never get it.

Steak Diane & herb salmon combo $25.

Substituted side salad for mashed potatoes altho the 2 different gravies would probably have been awesome for the mashed potatoes.

2 thumbs up

Thai coconut curry chicken ($18)

Delicious.
Protip: ask for extra curry sauce for the rice

Chicken Asian salad, lunch version ($14.50)

Tasty plum dressing but didn't like the tortilla chips. Salad and crunchy texture doesn't doesn't mix for me.

Also, the waitress told me the full version ($20?) Is double the size

Small side salad $7.50

It's not small at all.
Probably best bang for the buck in terms of salad.
(Specialty salads are $18 and the lunch versions are $15.)

Protip:
ask for extra blue cheese dressing on the side
