yeah good news and bad news

good news is your board should be ok.

bad news is trying to get ya into BIOs so you can load optimised defaults
 
oh and yeah for some reason the first screen to show on screen tells you your video card stuff 😛
 
it checks the bios the next time and it says its ok and it goes to the part i believe where it checks the hard drives and stuff and then it freezes, I guess maybe when I add my harddrive i am able to installl windows xp and flash the bios to the newest and the chipset drivers.

Problem is, Installing Windows XP = going into bios to change stuff.
 
What would you have to change in the BIOS to install Windows XP? I never have to change BIOS settings to install XP.

Concrats on the new system DEMO24, I see you finally got your new parts. :thumbsup:

hrm..

everytime I change bios it gives me the beeps.

Then I have to clear it..

Could it be a bad cmos battery?

and everytime i get it to post IT ALWAYS has a checksum error and says it loads defaults and uses backup cmos..

WTF IS WRONG WITH MY MOBO :|:|:|:|:|
 
maybe i should wait until my hard drive and platinum el rev 2's come in

and try posting with that... install windows and upgrade the bios..
