Bad News- Removed Batter , Tried clearing cmos, checked connections. Still a no go.

Im thinking I either have a corrupt cpu, bad ram, corrupt cmos , bad battery.

I looked at my cpu and saw slightly slightly bent pins, not enough to notice, only noticable when looking very very close.

yet the mobo still detects the cpu and boots up.

Corrupt Cmos on every POST.

Im thinking I either have to rma my mobo or cpu...

curious when you go into your BIOS you are saving and exiting right? I wouldnt think the CPU or memory would cause it. Your mobo could have a corrupt BIOS chip or like you said a bad battery. I would recommend getting on another system, downloading the Bios off DFI's site and try reflashing the board with a floppy drive.

Thats what I had in mind... my new ram arrives today..

also I think my cpu is F****D I checked it and it had slightly bent pins..

I just got all this stuff 1 week ago too -.-

I will try reflashing... if its a no go it will probably be my mobo or cpu..

I have no idea how to flash using floppy / in bios...

I only know how to go into windows and use the utilities 😀

Larry, any luck with your mobo?
I have an Ultra-D and am getting the same errors. Constant CMOS Checksum errors, the occasional X800XL text in the upper left corner.

I just want to flash the bios at least but after the checksum error comes up, I'm having problems booting from my floppy, hd, or optical drives. Pretty pissed that I have the bios on a floppy and can't even use it!

I keep resetting my cmos. I even tried saving all of my settings in the bios' save banks but the stupid hotkey feature won't work the way it is supposed to. Please give me an update man...
