Here's one thing, those were just training videos. Also, most people DO NOT know how to deal with animals. A human will back off with a threat, a dog or horse responds differently. That tends to scare people. I've seen many a footage of a guy held up in someone give up at the first sign of a dog. They weren't scared by a guy with a gun, but a dog is a different game.

I'm thinking ppl still have an instinctive fear of animals like Dogs. It kept us alive for evolutionary purposes and its what makes police dogs really effective. Same with our fear of fire. It's why flame throwers make effective weapons even if you don't hit someone.

In all of those situations, had that been me, there would have been a dead dog. BANG! flop!

You're such an idiot. Typical internet tough guy. You've watched too many movies and experienced too little of real life. I can gaurantee you that if this dog was released on you, you'd be on the ground crying like a little bitch before you even knew what hit you. Same goes for me and everyone else in this thread.

I bet you watch UFC matches and say things like, "Man, if that was me I would've blocked that punch, grabbed his arm, swung it around his back, and took him down with a sweep kick."

Couldn't agree more. In real life if you have two of these coming at you it's over. I had a dog that was half german shepard and that thing could run. It would chase my family down the street while we where in the car going 25-30mph (all cause it wanted to come with us). In real life it's not like you've got time to sit there and go..."Ok, shoot super fast dog, spin around, shoot other really fast dog." Unless you've been trained to deal with a dog attack it's all over for you. Now if you've got 10 seconds or so to see the dog coming then you've got a remote chance (if you are a good shot).

I think I hear the smallest fiddler playing a sad sad song...

My brother-in-law trains police dogs. I've been attacked by them before. I'm not trying to come off as a tough guy. I just have faith in my ability to deal with fear, and how fast I can move. I would not react the same way most people in this thread would. I was jumped on by attack dogs everyday for an entire summer working with my brother-in-law. I DO know what its like to be hit with a 120lb projectile. So kindly STFU. Thank you. You may now return to your regularly scheduled anonymous flaming/neffing.

Sheesh, all you guys thinking you could fight off a police dog are on something awfully strong. Mix up a batch of the what-for you got the vacation again, Ribbon? 😛

Agreed. It reminds me that most of the posters here haven't come out of their mother's basement in months.

Edit: Ribbon13 is full of crap. He makes designer drugs at home, and his brother is a police officer, and some family member/friend always has an extensive backround in whatever he would need to validate his argument.

a few hits of x-tal meth and you can fight off ANYTHING

Still, those police dogs have nothing on the clip I have of a leopard that some park rangers are trying to release into the wild. They're poking it with a stick, trying to get it to leave the cage...finally it gets pissed off, rounds the corner of the truck and dives into the open window while the guy is frantically trying to roll it up.

I take it the guy didn't make it?

was it just me or did that one dog turn and attack a guy it wasn't supposed to attack?

they don't look very well controlled

actually, the guy got really lucky, and was able to kick at it enough to get it to leave him alone. He got scratched pretty badly, though.
