I don't think it gets much cheaper than whey protein...unless you're eating roadkill or something.

Ramen baby!

1. Boil
2. Drain when it's ALMOST soft (crucial part)
3. Stir fry with cheap frozen veggies
4. Put over rice
5. Yum!

Not healthy. Tuna has a lot of mercury. But if your objective is to look good and lose weight, than yes.

well damn...new suggestions that are high in protein would be helpful

reaserch that tuna mercury stuff, all i saw is it was bad for women

Tuna Research

Mercury is bad for anyone, it is just worse for a pregnant lady because it affect the babies development. Mercury is toxic and builds up in your system. Mercury has been linked to an alarming amount infertility in both men and women. It inhibits your sperm production.

But like I said, if your objective is to lose weight or gain muscle and look good, then this diet is okay. I would suggest egg-whites, some canned tuna (since it is a cheap, quick way of getting protein), and skinless chicken for someone who wants to have a high protein diet. Add a lot of fiber (whole grain) and greens to your diet as well. But cheap way is to go egg-whites, stagger canned tuna, and vitamin & fiber supplements. Whey protein is good too, but you need to go to a nutritionist first.

thanks for the advice :)

Ramen - $0.10 a bag
Mixed vegetables - $1.00 per lb
18 eggs - $1.50

Mix an egg or two with the ramen and add some vegetables.

I wouldn't exactly call that healthy. Change Ramen to whole grain noodles or rice without insane amounts of sodium. I guess the eggs are okay, but I've read that normal eggs (caged, grain fed ones) aren't too great for you. The free range eggs are good though, but more expensive.

heres what I do and have been successful at least in maintaining weight.

Breafast: When I eat any, I usually have a plain bagel for carbs.

Lunch: Consists of either tuna or chicken salad

Dinner: Pretty much anything homemade.

as far as drinks go, I drink either gatorade or unsweetened Iced Tea.
