hmmm... 2.66ghz uses a 20x multiplier... coupled with a cpns9500 = 20 x 200fsb = 4ghz?!? x 2 cores = 8ghz!?? which is about an x2 4000.... ;)

Hey, if these things could jump up from 133MHz FSB to 200MHz, then we'd have something here (a 4GHz PD). Otherwise its a futile attempt on intel's part.

Sorry for the "booboo"

Meant to say this will sell like hotcakes.

A dual core for under 241? Un-fing-real

I think it is a good move.
Computing technology need to have the market saturated with multicore chips, from lowend up.

We certainly needed this  Single-threaded performance from about 3 years ago...

Now people can buy these just so they can run Norton on one of the CPUs, & their other crap on the second.

Makes no sense to me...it's all marketing BS on Intel's part.

well, if you vapo it, you may get a 4GHz P-D for "cheap", but a stock 4800 is still going to own it.

sh1t. My dad's 4 year old P4 2.0 at 2.66 is going to do the same on single thread apps. ROFL.

Makes no sense to the people who buy dells, but people who OC will like this chip. Cheap performance is always welcome.
