It depends on the selection of your display's size. If it's 15" SXGA, the maximum is 1400x1050
If it's 15" XGA, the maximum is 1280x1024.

I believe XGA is 1024x768 max

Karnold, I asked HP and they told me the UPC/label to send in for the rebate, is the big one that also has the serial number on it.

Poppagene, should we send the whole big label or just the lower part with the P/N number and "Made in Taiwan" only?

hey,
i saw two $100 rebates for the HP pavilions:
rebate from HP website
rebate from Staples website

both have the option of selecting the built-to-order pavilions.. i'm wondering if they're combinable, since the rebates say they are... just curious, but if they are, that's $500 off???
Another thing is how come i'm hearing it's not mobility radeon even though it says it is...?

Two things on the rebates:

I got a ZE5000 BTO on an earlier offer, and went to the Staples rebates site to check my status. It said that it had been declined due to no UPC being included. I too sent in the orly barcodes I had which were the 10 or so barcodes on the side of the box. Anyhow, after talking with my friendly neighborhood Staples rebates CSR, she went ahead and validated it and I got my rebate in a week.

As for the HP rebate, it is handled in Young America, and folks were saying that there is no way to check that status online. Well, I found out where to check it. Go to:

HP Rebate Status

Just placed my order. Quick question though, how hard is it to install an extra stick of memory? Also, as for memory, what I need is pc2100 200-pin sticks right? Where would be the best place to purchase 256mb? I saw CC had centron 256mb sticks for $79.99 with a $15.00 MIR.

Pretty easy, all you need is screw driver. pc2100 200 pin, that's right. CC seems has the best price for it right now.

thanks for the quick response. I'll probably stop by Circuit City tonight and see if they have any in stock. Lastly, anyone have links to any drivers/bios upgrades we should do once we get the laptop?

Karnold: the label I sent in was approximately 5.5 by 3.5 inches. I peeled away most of the cardboard backing and the label folded for easy inclusion. I made a Xerox copy of everything before sending in.

salehrules: HP told me that the two $100 rebates are not combinable with each other. Either can be combined with the $50 USB floppy drive rebate.

oh yeah, for those who have received theres, how long did it take from you ordering to get it? Also, if you know, how long did it take for them to get authorization on your credit card? I ordered around noonish and still shows as processing.

thanks for finding out dude. it's odd that they didn't mention it wasn't combinable with other rebates. they looked quite different to me. 😛

jaybert: I ordered on a Friday at 6PM EST and by the next day the charge was posted to my credit card. It arrived 12 days later.

is anyone else having a problem with running wordperfect? It seems like it takes forever to open the application.

It runs well in my ZE4000. I clicked the wordperfect icon and the window popped up immediately.

Cant I get a BTO down to the same specs and price as the 4101? If I do a BTO in-store that comes to $1099 will the final price with coupons and rebates be $699? Also, will they charge me $75 for shipping?

Thanks for all your help

hrm, ok. I guess I should be seeing a charge soon. Thanks. Quick question though, regarding the 12 days, was it 12 business days or just 12 days? I kinda need to get the laptop before I leave for Thanksgiving break or else no one will be at my apartment for 2 weeks or so. Also, was yours delivered by the staples guy or UPS/fedex/USPS/whatever? Thanks 😛

thanks man. I'm crossing my fingers that it'll arrive before the 21st and someone will be here to sign for it. Sorry to keep asking you questions but did you check your order status off of the staples website throughout? Did it stay processing for the entire time until it shipped or were there other stages as well? Thanks!

I ordered the 1201 back on 9/30 then was upgraded to the 4101. I subsequently cancelledthe order bec I bought 2 1210s at a local B&M.

I just received the 4101 in the mail and was charged for it....before I return to to my local B&M, Id figure I offer it up to an anandteccher someone is interested email me or PM me. Not realy looking to make any money on it but the rebates are on you.

Ill wait 1 day then off it goes for return
