Cheap Gillette razors?

Everytime I buy razors for my Mach 3 I wanna punch something. The local CVS charges like 12 bucks for 4 razors! 20 bucks for 8! And that's for my old Mach 3. For the newer gillette's it's like 28 dollars for the 8-pack.

So they are ripping people off on these little pieces of plastic that cost less than a cent to make. These prices are just as bad as the 40 dollars Best Buy charges for a 6 foot USB cable.

However, we have an alternative to Best Buy's overpricing. It's called Newegg, ZFF, etc.

Does anyone know where I can get razor replacements at a decent price?
I know the shipping would defeat the point of it if I were to buy a 4 pack. So I would buy them in bulk to save money on shipping.

Any ideas?

Anybody waiting fr the 7-8 or 9 blade razor?

I can`t wait..Mach 7 turbo master blaster..LOL

Bought a torn package of Quattro blades for $5

Theyre made of titanium? i think. Plus they last a REALLY long time, you dont need a new one every time you shave.

i bought a package of Mach3 Turbo blades off of ebay, they worked out to be about $1.25 each (32 of them) after shipping (no tax), compared with the ~$2.40 each after tax at my local store

the packaging was slightly different (more plasticy then the usual paper) but the blades are the same as far as I can tell (even the green blade holder)..my dad thinks that they might have been intended for the mexican market because they have more spanish on the package than normal (but still english dominates)

look for someone with reliable feedback from selling them and buy it now, had mine within 3 days!

kind of off the OP's main topic...but has anyone tried some of these expensive ass electric shavers? I've been using mach3 and the new one (5 blade, whatever it is called, i like it a lot not to mention the extra blade on the opposite side...good for us clumsy folk) for a while but i've never used an electric shaver. I am thinkin about getting the braun activator for bday...anyones thoughts?

Some people have trouble using electric shavers due to irritation (vice versa). You should probably try one first before you buy.

and its never going to be as close, theresalways metal between u and the blade.

I gave up on the mach 3, even at costco and Wholesale clubs the cost of blades was stupid...I now go old school with a double edge razor, ten blades is like $3, the downside is it is a blade every week and takes a little longer to shave in the AM but the quality of the shave is about as good. Personally if sticking with a cartridge razor I liked the sensor better than the mach anyway.

Where does one get a DE razor? I want to try it.

first of all, stop paying for the mach 3. it is no better than the 2-blade version. second, get a costco membership. they have most gillette razors in bulk for very cheap. they also have lots of other good stuff for very cheap (including gasoline!).

also if you want to go cheap get a old safety razor one. you can get 100 blades off of ebay for like $15

Depending on just how far you want to go with this....
Costo/Sam's (~$1.75/cartridge in bulk)
Change to Sensor Excel (~$1.25 in bulk)
Change to DE/safety razor blade (Razors free to $20, blades ~$0.45 or less)

If you lived in boston, I could buy them for you at the company store. I used to buy my buddies boxes of 96 Duracell batteries for like $25.

I think its 14$ for the 8pack of the new 5 bladed system, but I am not sure because I just get them for free :/

Something like 10.50$ for 8 pack of Mach 3 turbos
