Because he's still alive the haters can continue to freely spew their hate in this thread with abandon. Come on guys, say what you really feel. A living conservative is more than fair game. There will be no repercussions.

I've gotta say, it's pretty awesome being exposed to a genius that operates at your level. You have a level of insight typically seen only in the finest of institutions.
 
I don't watch Foxnews so I have no idea who he is.
So I did my standard search for anyone aligned with foxnews.

Charles was one of the few even keeled political analysts on television. Started off in the Carter administration in the VA then became one of Mondale's speech writers. Truly an outstanding thinker, articulate and compassionate. He will be missed.
 
Good grief, people. Krauthammer is far from a saint, but I don't think it's right to be vicious to him at a moment like this.

No idea who he is, but judging by the people saddened here, I can only assume I wish him a horrible death. It's a shame he can afford pain medication to make his last weeks bearable.
