Chapped lips

I use the blue chapsticks that have moisterizer in them. I actually have a thing that attaches them to my keys, and put it several times a day. Until I found that blue kind, my lips were cracked or bleeding during the winter...it was pretty bad.

I use a really weak prescription of hydrocortisone ointment before I sleep at night. Regular chapstick in the day. I suppose vaseline would work.

Bah, I have a lifetime with large, full lips that says this is full of crap. No matter what I tried, my lips were horrible unless I regularly used lip balm. In my youth, I was too stupid/lazy to do it. About 15 years ago I gave up and started carrying the Blistex with me all the time. My lips have never been chapped since.

Pics? I'm gonna have to start calling you Hot Lips 😀

You wouldn't be the first, sweet cheeks.

I always used to have chapped lips, and would have to carry around a tube of chapstick all the time. I hated it. So finally I said screw it, I'm not using it, I'm going cold turkey. It sucked so hardcore for the first month or so, but then it went away and now I hardly ever use it. I keep a little tin of the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm around just in case I have a really bad case one day, but I really don't use it that much anymore.

I'd still try the Burt's Bees though, I found that I used it less often than any other brand of chapstick. Makes your lips feel cool.

Farmers found out long ago that a thin layer of cow manure will help end chapped lips.
It doesn't cure it - just makes you stop licking them as much.

You're putting too much on.
hmm... could be

how many "strokes" is recommended? (waiting for obvious jokes to ensue...)

Use the stuff in the little tubs and your finger to apply it. A very thin film should be enough.

i have a small tube of carmex i bought 2 years ago, alllllmost empty now, but its still going to last me a few more weeks, since i started using a tube. i dont like having to wash my hands every time i need something on meh lips, so i use the gel carmex now.

good stuff, doesnt take much at all.

Works for birth control, as well. 😛
