<< Hey Adul! Where would one find something like that? >>

Didn't have to find it. It wasn't lost. ;)

<< Arrows, swords, and axes can be digitally replaced by long-stemmed roses, soup ladles, and tennis racquets. >>

I almost choked on my beer when I read that.

Somehow I can envision the new, PC version of "The Fellowship of the Ring."

Of course it will have to be renamed, to eliminate the sexism: "The Personship of the Ring."

Ah, I can see it now --
Aragorn wielding the "Soup Ladle That Was Broken"...
Boromir pierced by the Orcs' deadly long-stemmed roses...
...and Gimli whacking away at everything in sight with his tennis racquet.

Can't wait for the final installment, "The Return of the Authority Figure!" :D

...the twiddly blond boys from Elfland...

Legolas is a lumberjack, and he's OK... :D

This is a hoot, WW, but the weird thing is that there are some politically correct people who would probably endorse all this!

I love these kind of "Modest Proposals", they are always so extreme! :p

(A rhetorical question: Who pissed in ffmcobalt's cornflakes? Didn't he used to be a fairly easygoing guy?)

Do some people not understand sarcasm when they read it? They must've been last in line when God was handing out senses of humour....
I do have a sense of humor. This one just isn't funny.

nik

I have yet to read a WW post that didn't at least make me smile, but that is just me, if you didn't like it, why bother to comment on it? I just don't get what the obsession is with bashing posts that actually have a purpose and are well thought out as opposed to the normal 1 liners we get in ATOT. Apparently I am mistaken though....

Thanks again nik for the insight...
