The sauce is worse than it used to be too, but it's still closer to what it used to be than any imitator I've tried (always ran into people saying "try this, is pretty much the same as as McRib" and it never is).
I don't think I have had a McRib since the 90s so I probably couldn't tell the difference. In addition to fries I usually only get the double cheeseburgers or quarter pounders there though; the former because they're the best deal I can find on burgers ($1.60 each when I use a survey receipt) while the quarter pounders are my favorite thing on their menu and still pretty reasonable ($2.30 each when I use a survey receipt). Oh and the Hot and Spicy McChicken since you get one free every $15 you spend in the app and they're the best deal for your points. I only get the nuggets when they're super cheap. Like the day after a UTSA football game my location sells a 6 piece for $1. And I used the weekly 10-piece for $1 deal that came out when they were trying to win customers back after they got a bunch of people sick with the e.coli quarter pounders. McRib just looks kind of gross though and haven't had any interest in trying it. It comes back any time McDonalds can get a good deal on pork in bulk so not racing out there to try it right now.

Luigi Mangione review on the Ted Kaczynski's manifesto which I believe is relevant to his thoughts on corporate America and maybe the reason why he did what he did to the insurance CEO:

I'm not trying to convince you that it's "good", they're definitely not to everyone's taste, just that it's not the abomination pop culture likes to depict it as (much like Arby's actually has decent food despite being a fun punching bag).
Yeah the roast beef sandwiches are great, though they have gotten way smaller since the 80s/90s.

Will be interesting to read Mangione's writings if the media has the balls to publish them.

What a load of crap. Hillary was a right wing Democrat just like her husband. Why don't you guys accept some fucking responsibility when your candidate loses to terrible right wing candidates and quit blaming the left when we haven't had a candidate remotely to the left since McGovern and FDR.

If you are using the left and right scale that most of the world uses then ok if not then you are laughably wrong as Hillary was at the forefront of universal health care, the most progressive issue of our time.

In terms of accepting responsibility, the issue had nothing to do with that as not only is that pointless but it completely ignores what the real issue is…misinformation.

So go ahead and continue with complaining about not nominating Jesus and you can also continue whining about why your perfect candidate didn’t win.

I agree Bush ran as a moderate republican and he sort of ruled as one.
Since this has now become a thread about democratic strategy I say:
Focus on a limited amount of “stuff”, ensure it’s important “stuff” and get something done about it, be really good at getting something done about it.
Refuse to get sidetracked by niche groups and issues such as Palestine or Trans Issues. They don’t bring votes but they do bring controversy simple because they are zero sum games.
As of today what should have been targeted and spoke about at every opportunity.
Job growth, pay growth
Taxes for the uber wealthy
Healthcare as in eliminating the wasteful middlemen.

Use power when you have it. During the constant grocery price increases and those companies showing RECORD earning. Haul those CEOs before congress and start asking questions as to why this is happening. Large food producers have a history of collusion-airy behavior, start investigating.
Same with uber wealthy tax rates
Same with medical billing.

Keep it simple and dumb, we will see change.

Uh I’m pretty sure that’s exactly how this election went. It doesn’t work. Like I said, the message isn’t the problem, it’s that no one is listening.

Since we are still completely off the topic of the thread. When I lived in Chicago, the beef at the Arby's in the Chicagoland area, actually had real sliced beef round (not cured deli meat either). Not the detonated stuff they have all over the country. They know their meat there and apparently couldn't sell that stuff in the area. Meanwhile, back to the thread.

When were CEOs hauled in to congress?
Who was investigated for price fixing and what was the penalty?
What major company had any pushback over layoffs?

This stuff was spoken about but had no action.

I sometimes make fun of the police but I do believe this time they are on to something here.

This post reminds when when George Santos was on a podcast with 2 NYC cops and 1 of them said of Santos:
""I am impressed, my art is sniffing through bullshit.. I Could smell a bullshit artist a mile away. Your legit (George Santos), you know your stuff. I am very impressed."

I'm curious what the motive is. If true, this opens up weird possibilities.
Revenge is the motive.
Insurance is viewed as killing many thousands / year. Their profit is all blood money.
This time it was personal for him and he evened the score by one.

Personally I'd rather vote Democrat and fight for vastly expanded Healthcare reform akin to EVERY OTHER COUNTRY but if Americans want be play dumb then I guess the Second Amendment is always there.... if they prefer we use that to settle the score bill.

Guy doesn’t seem too bright after all, so apparently this is a pretty simple job for the average moron to pull off. That probably isn’t comforting for the typical insurance industry C-suite resident lol.
It sort of seems to me like he wanted get his ascot.

The McChicken and nuggets are truly terrible, would not eat them for free.
The double cheeseburger is probably the best item on the menu, TBH. Yeah, the McRib is fairly reliable at showing up in the November-December timeframe, they keep running the "it's leaving FOREVER" gambit and yet, here it is again :p

They're listening to what the media tells them, which is mostly "here's all the things wrong with Democrats" and "what shocking thing will Trump do next, elect him to find out!"

Yeah, definitely interesting documentation to see how he ended up where he is (if it truly is this person).
Keep my McChicken out of your filthy mouth!
*slap
Oh, no worries there, pal, you'd have to pay me to get one in there in the first place!

My wife and I like the Big Macs when they're 2 for 1 or heavily discounted but I'm not paying $7 + for one!

NOOBs! The McDouble is a double cheeseburger minus one slice of cheese and it’s like $3 less.
If you really want that extra slice order a McDouble with extra cheese.

I know what a McDouble is, and the sandwich really needs that extra slice of cheese. I don't eat at McDonald's unless I'm traveling or the McRib is on the menu. At my local McDonald's, a Double Cheeseburger is $3.79, a McDouble with an extra slice of cheese is $4.48 (without, it's $3.49).

Okay fair enough, not priced like that near me.

Regular McChicken is def lower tier fast food but the Hot & Spicy McChicken's pretty good, especially since I treat it as a freebie I get for every third trip I make to McDonalds since it only costs $15 worth of accumulated points. I miss the $1 apple pies with free medium fries with $1 purchase in the app combo. Cheaper than buying a bag of candy at the grocery store much less the ice house and way more satisfying. Probably removed that because I got it so often lol.
