Celtics Beat Rockets 97 - 93!

Five other teams have lost just three of their first 30 games, including the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls who finished the season with an NBA-record 72 wins.

God, it's nice to finally be able to really enjoy watching the C's again.

I agree. Til this season, I haven't watched a whole C's game since Reggie Lewis.

Every couple of years a team comes along that starts fast out of gate and everyone is so quick to start asking

"70 wins? Best team ever?!?!1 blah blah blah"

The NBA season is 82 games long. The 95-96 Bulls were 41-3 at one point and were on pace to go 77-5.

Teams lose focus as the season draws on, players get hurt, and opponents adjust to other team's tactics.

I have no doubt (barring serious injuries) the Celtics will win at least 60 games but can everyone please STFU about 70 wins and this team's place in history at least until the season is over?

Nice.. I'm a Nets fan at heart, but I love watching the Suns & Warriors play and root for them always in the playoffs.

Yeah, and everyone seems to forget a 67 Win team last year. The dallas mavericks were knocked out in the first round.

I wish ... this is always going to happen, and teams like Detroit & the Spurs will be ignored - smart teams that don't push themselves during the regular season, and then come out in the playoffs. It happens every year, the Celtics will start to slow down after the All-Star break, and I really doubt that they can pull off a 7 game series with their bench. Hell, imagine if Pierce or Garnett went down ...

Great basketball team or GREATEST basketball team? :p

Not even the greatest Boston basketball team......

Eastern Conference has never seemed so weak......the Bulls would go undefeated against this garbage. Detroit is the only TEAM with any talent and they will beat the Celtics in the playoffs if it comes to that.

One thing that would worry me if I were a BOS fan is that none of the Big 3 have any sort of winning playoff experience. They are all losers and chokers in the playoffs. Their coach also has 0 rings.

They already beat them in BOS. If they can take them again on Saturday it will be telling of how good BOS really is.

Playoffs are the only thing that counts. Of course BOS fans wouldn't know about this because they've sucked for nearly 2 decades straight. Big 3 gonna wear themselves out come playoff time.

Hmm, you're right. Too busy celebrating the Superbowls and World Series Championships. It's a wonder that Boston sports fans still remember that they have an NBA team.

I've always liked The Celtics, though I'm not a basketball fan.
You have to be wary of any team that starts strong, dominates the season and goes into the playoffs with high expectations.
I would never bet on a team like that.

Are you talking about the C's?

Or the Pats? ;)

Oh, this thread is old, sorry. I was talking about the Celtics.

Football season is too short and has a different dynamic that long seasons like football, hockey and baseball.

Celtics won't win the championship, but the Patriots might.
