they are in similar price range and really close preformance too (from newbie's point of view, me). I like how celica looks little bit more, i dont like US integra, japanese integra looks better. Hmm on second thought Yello integra looks good.. err

So, juding from looks, performance, stability, warrenty, price and all the rest, which car has advantage in which?

Thanx.

Pic of both in comparison, but its from toyota site so it probably is biased.
Celica, click on 360 degree thing to see in detail
Integra.. damn that yello TypeR.. looks damn good..

Review of Celica, Teggy and Eclipse, im reading it now :)

Got rice?

The Celica has nasty, sharp body lines.

oh celica all the way! have you ever driven one??? its so freaking tight, and the brakes and handling are so awesome! the 6 speed rocks, and off the line, the celica
GT-S will burn the integra GS-R

Definately the Integra. Who needs a six speed when you got a 8000 rpm redline and a vtec engine? I personally dislike the look of the Celica, but I can see why you don't like the look of the Integra. You can always get a kit to convert the headlights to the Japanese version, but that would probably void your warranty. I test drove one on Friday and let me tell you its really nice. The handling and suspension is excellent. The Integra is an excellent car overall IMHO, they last forever and they don't require extensive maintanence. I was going to get one this weekend, but I found out that they are doing layoffs this week at my job :|. I work for a Dot com, so I need to find a stable job fast. Anyway just my 2 cents. I would definately test drive them both to see which one you like better.

Test drive them and ask yourself if you will enjoy driving it a year, 2 years, or 3 years from now. That should help. Good luck!

I had an Integra GS-R sedan for a year and got really burned out on it. Test drive it on the highway and rev it hard so you can get a real taste of the GS-R experience. It gets unpleasantly loud, and has to be flogged and shifted constantly to get much performance (it has very poor low-end torque and feels no better than a Civic until you really put the hammer down). I once had to drive it 400 miles in a day and the car just exhausted me (it is revving at ~4000 RPM at 80 in fifth, and you can hear and feel every one of those 4000 revs).

In all fairness I am skeptical whether I would like the GT-S much better; maybe I am just too old for the boy-racer experience. The Subaru WRX looks MUCH faster and should handle far better for not much more money. I, on the other hand, am comfy in my 2001 Nissan Maxima SE.

The only big difference between the two is the exterior and the warranty. The Integra has a 4 year warranty while the Celica has only 3 years.

Tee-Edwards, Those Maximas kick ass with the greatest of ease.

The Integra is old and still based on the Civic. The Celica is brand new, has a 6-speed, and a slightly larger engine with more torque, which equals lower revs and less shifting in traffic. Looks aside, the Celica is the better deal.

But don?t buy either without test driving a Prelude. Forget about the SH, they?re not $2,500 better. The base Prelude has 200 HP and a comfortable ride. I still catch a wave of euphoria every time I think back to driving one these exquisite beauties.

A h h h h . . .

<< VW GTI VR6 >>

Fun with lots of cargo room and a big engine.

I've really come to appreciate higher displacement engines over the past few years :).

In stock form, the VW VR6 will hand both the 'yota and the Acura their asses.

Are you sure?? I don't think so.

The GTR and the celica GTS is about equal in term of sporting performance (accel and cornering). The Celica might be a little better, not that much.. just enough for bragging purposes I think.

From there is just personal pref.
