CD BURNER HELP!

I just bought a 24X Acer CDRW.. but.. Nero and Easy CD 5 both only allow 20X.. Sometimes when I'm not going to burn anything.. it gives be the option to burn 24X.. any suggestions??

What are you using for media? I ask because I use Nero 5.5 with a Lite-On 24X. It burned 16X Memorex media at 24X.
 
Your discs are probably 20x. You might still be able to burn at 24x. Like Dan, I burned my 16x at 24x without any errors. Hope this helps
 
Does nero and EZ cd creator 5 correctly regcognize your burner? If not you might need a firmware upgrade or possibly have to make sure your burning software is current to correctly support your new burner

IMO, your first option should be to update your version of nero to the latest version or ezcd creator with any possible update patches!
