I had the same charge back on July 15. Did the google search which led me to rip off reports which had a large thread going.

Called the CC and filed a paperwork to have the charges disputed. They credited my account about a week after I filed the dispute.

As far as the newegg connection. I had only used the affected card for some bill duty (water bill, other minor, infrequent payments). I hadn't used that specific card for any newegg purchases for several months.

If you didnt make the charges demand the CC company to prove you did. If they cant you dont pay. Unless you used ur bank card. Then you owe the first 50.00. Dont be a sap and let the CC company make you prove you didnt make the charge, you dont have to.

My buddy had 3k worth of fraud. 1 call cleared it all up.

Ordered from NewEgg on 8/13 and had a charge from Kurtz on 8/14. I have never stored my credit card info on their site. My bank will be hearing about this tomorrow

I'm not entirely sure about you guys, but I haven't seen anything from Kurtz Enterprises on any order of mine from Newegg. I ordered some case fans on 8/26, and have seen nothing on my card.

Hmmmm. Just decided to check my Sears Mastercard and there appears to be a $14.95 charge from a company named Teknol, inc.

I have never heard of them. Anybody have this one as well?

I have the same charge from Kurtz Enterprises. It was on a card I have not used in months, maybe even over a year. I have used that card in the past at NewEgg.com.

I found this post google'n Kurtz Enterprises and thought I'd chime in. The charge was End of August, just a week ago.

I called my CC co and they credited my card for the charge, and said they would close the acct if it happened again. Although I dont think i'm going to wait that long, since somebody has my number that I dont want to have my number already!

You see all the accounts because this thread comes up like number 4 on the list if you search Google for "Kurtz Enterprises." New people are registering just to follow this story.

Yup, that's me, got a charge from "Kurtz Enterprises #3" on my government charge card after purchasing from NewEgg... I've bought from them many times in the past with no problem. Googled on "Kurtz" and found this thread and joined. Bought from NewEgg on 7/30, charge was on 8/2, Kurtz charge for $14.95 was run on 8/4, cleared on 8/6. Talked to one of the owners at TheNerds, who said he knows the owners of NewEgg. Said I might not get any response from NewEgg if I call them. Didn't even try, just filed a dispute with Mastercard. Guess either NewEgg system got hacked or like somebody else said, NewEgg has a BadEgg. My suggestion... drop NewEgg and start buying from TheNerds, they're usually just as cheap, they're nice, and they speak English! No I'm not wasting your tax dollars while posting this, I'm eating lunch.

Same here, orders from Newegg on 7/18 and 8/8. I never have them store credit card information on file.
