I think the burden of proof is on Mr. Bush concerning his "service" in 1972-73. So far, that has yet to fully materialize. Why is it not a single person remembers him from the AL airbase? We know he was a no-show for his physical so the base physician never saw him (always thought it funny that Bush had no problem announcing he was gtting a camera shoved up his ass years ago, yet is dead silent over why he skipped his physical back then) Same goes for all of the pilots, officers, and ground crew that were stationed there. If you know of anyone, by all means, spill the beans, that $10k might still be up for grabs!
I would love to believe Bush fully completed his service and is worthy of the respect that would garner, maybe you could point me to:
-ANYTHING from the Alabama unit with Bush's name on it
-A single solitary page from his flight log
-A copy of the form 44a from the ANG certifying attendance
-Any record from the Inquiry Board that was convened after he was suspended
-AF Form 142 (Aviation Service Audit Worksheet)
-How about just even a simple photo of him in uniform after the begining of 1972 (speaking of photos, how about that one where he's wearing the AF Outstanding Unit Award, something he didn't earn?)
Makes you wonder if the other pilots stationed there suffered similar *ahem* clerical mishaps. Anyone know?
"...suspended from flight status due to failure to perform to USAF/TexANG standards and failure to meet annual physical examination (Flight) as ordered...Officer has made no attempt to meet his training certification or flight physical." - *Lt. Col. Killian Memorandum for Record, 8/1/72
"I got a call from your office today concerning the evaluation of 1st Lt. Bush...Neither Lt. Col Harris or I feel we can rate 1st Lt. Bush since he was not training with 111th F.I.S. since April 1972..." - Memo from Killian, recipient not noted, 6/24/73
The torrid history of what records the White House would talk about is itself quite comical - how did it go? First they were just under wraps, then they were mistakenly destroyed long ago, only to be later found again (and even then, they were incomplete)? I forget. Add all of this to the tendancy for wealthy and affluent families to pull strings within the military for their sons, and well, I'm sure you can understand the reason for skepticism. The whole deal stinks, and an 'honorable discharge' does nothing to cover the stench.
how is the Bush admin getting blamed for these reporters getting fired? Werent they fired by CBS? You guys really love to look for any way possible to blame the president.
I see people commenting on a disturbing double-standard, I must have missed them assigning blame to the president. Care to share?
