Caught my former employer forging a non-compete. Now what?

A BV (3.0). He is a bulldog and is a business owner himself so he understands what I'm going through. This is not going to be a cheap process but as with everything in life you get what you pay for.

When I needed a lawyer, I went with a BV rated one and it actually saved me a lot of money compared to my friends who went with a non-rated lawyer. They went with lawyers by word of mouth that charged one friend 20k and the other 30k, both different lawyers and their charges lesser then mine since it didn't involve a firearm. The one who paid 30k got a year jail time and the one who paid 20k got a criminal record with probation. I got all my charges thrown out without going to trial for 6k and no criminal record.

I'm sorry if necroing a thread isn't allowed. I don't think it warrants a brand new post but I do have an update to share.

My old employer has said in writing that they will not be enforcing the non-compete (not like they could anyway) but that could be just to avoid any potential damages that I could claim. My lawyer said that if they do mean it then I have nothing to worry about. However, I did stipulate that they apologize to the vendors that I had but at this point it's moot since I dropped them.

Also, the owner of that company was arrested for solicitation of sex from a minor. The best part? Some of their clients have already contacted me asking to take them on.

Same thread, same issue, excellent update! Worthy of a necro!

If only SOME of our more illustrious members would do the same... *cough*GOOSE*cough*

What goes around, comes around, as the saying goes. 🙂

I certainly feel sorry for people who get stuck in unavoidable calamities, however, this guy is an idiot. He clearly could afford an escort but chose to do it the illegal way. Sometimes I wonder how these people got to where they are today.

NCC/CNC's are not valid in many places. I'd check that first. Also many are written too broad to hold up. They cannot stop you from working in your field, just from going head to head with their clients you had.

Being you have an attorney it should get all sorted out.
