So, if you have a military ID, you can't get pulled over? Despite the fact that you should have been castrated and sent away to prison for 20 years for being so stupid? Go away, loser. Go kill yourself before you take someone else with you.

I don't know what bothers me more, The cop letting you off like he did because your friend flashed his military ID
( If I was that cop, you would have had your driving privilege revoked right there, had your car impounded )
or your friend who is in the military and has no common sense at all, for petes sake he is supposed to be an adult
not some kid still in High School( as stated before if I was that cop I would had made sure the State had a talk with
his company commander)

All in all your friend and you are both idiots

I just had a dream last night about driving and I got a ticket. It's scary when you're 16. <shudder>

Yeah, you're all big and clever cause you got off, but when you kill someone who pulls out of a side road, not expecting you flying down on him @90Mph, you'll feel pretty small.

If this is a joke, you need a week off.

Yes, someone pulls out of a side road, or out of a driveway, or there's debris on the road, or a stalled car is in the road around a bend, or there's a deer in the road, or a hundred other things. Inexperienced drivers never expect that.

Sadly, a lot of people have to learn the hard way. It's only been two weeks since my friend Tom was in an accident (his friend, the driver, was killed). The driver was 19, driving on roads he knew very well, in good weather, but he made a split-second judgment error and paid for it with his life only because he was doing about 70 in a 35. Had he been driving anywhere near the speed limit he wouldn't have even had an accident.

What makes people think that the ones who get into accidents were just bad drivers? As if a couple of years of driving qualifies people to drive like NASCAR drivers do.

You are an idiot. Driving that fast isn't "cool", it doesn't make girls want you anymore, it doesn't impress anyone other than your idiot friends, it doesn't compensate for what you might be lacking. I'm sorry, I agree with other posters here that your license should have been revoked instantly. The last thing we need is another teenage retard speeding around in places where driving fast is extremely dangerous. You're probably the kind of entitled kid that, even if you did kill someone, you would think it was their fault for being out on the road. "traumatizing?" I hope it was friggen traumatizing. I also wish the cop had taken your license and locked you up for the night, now THERE would be a traumatizing experience.

Honestly, you're an idiot (like I said in the beginnning), please never come here again or post here again, or just kill yourself before you hurt someone with your stupid teenage driving skills.

<-- fed up with stupid people

Has the Police always been this way? with regards to preferential treatment.

I have always had a high regard for peace officers here in the US.
I came from a 3rd world country where the police are actually feared more than the criminals.

I know its a far cry from letting somebody off for a speeding ticket but this whole idea of treating everybody equally specially with regards to the law has got me thinking that they (police ) may be heading in a bad direction, or maybe it the whole society in general.

peace and slowdown before you ruin somebodies life

My military ID has never done jack for me when getting pulled over.
But whada ya expect, Tucson Cops are pretty much dicks anyway.

Not quite as bad as the Illinois State Police though. They're like the goddam mafia with their good-ole-boy networks!

EDIT: However COMMA.... It never ceases to amaze me how many people in here are perfect angels. They would NEVER fathom driving 90 in a 40 and anyone who does should be casterated, have their feet removed and sodomised the rest of their life

, but these same people would quickly dish out the same punishment for someone who's NOT doing at least 10 over in the passing lane...forget about that car they may acutally be passing who'd doing less than the speed limit!

Though I don't condone reckless driving by any means I can't say I'm not guilty of the same.

165 in a 75 on my bike, but it was also an empty stretch of interstate in the middle of nowhere. 90 through town = poor judgment.

EDIT Again: And just so you know, I think your military ID story is a fake. Like I said, mine has never bought me any favors.

Doing 90 in a 40=Assmaster. LIke everyone else has already said, just wait until you nail someone doing 90 MPH. It'll take a lot more than a fvcking military ID to get you out of that one. Jackass. :|

Yes. In America, it's called the "Good Old Boys" network and it is rampant corruption at every government level, despite the fact that Americans have the constitutional right to equal protection under the law.

I would NEVER even consider doing 90 in a 40mph zone. NEVER. That is sheer stupidity. You don't have to be a perfect angel to see that. 65 in a 40 is bad enough, but 90??? Believe it or not, there are rules for speed limits and what they can be. Around me, a town had a choice to either put in stoplights in a very inconvenient place, or lower the limit from 55 to 45. They had to lower the speed limit because it would have been stupid to put a stoplight in. Why did they have to do this on a country road? Because there was a couple subdivisions and lots of people pulling out. If someone had been doing 90, there would have been no way to even see that there was a subdivision road there, much less stop in time if someone was pulling out. That's just wreckless. Both for you and others. I only pray that this person and his friend die alone before they take someone else with them.

When I was a dumb kid with my 1969 Camaro SS.....I was busted doing 100-110 mph in a 35 mph zone going through downtown.

I'm just saying that just about everyone has had a moment of utter stupidity at some point in their lives. But this kid doesn't deserve to be crucified for it. I'm thankful that in amd's case that no one whas hurt and hopefully this will be a one time instance.

But I'm sure you, XZeroII, have NEVER once, not even when you were a kid, done anything so haneous as...dare I say... speeding.

Yep, your right. It was absolutely stupid abd you'll find no argument about that from me. I do find it disturbing that, as a result, you would pray for the deaths of these two individuals as you so put it.

Of course not, because he's oh so intelligent, unlike us unintelligent slang users.

Of course, he'll reply to this and say he's flattered that we think he never broke the law or is more intelligent than anyone else, never mind what we really meant.

Just an aside here...

My dad taught me how to drive... he was in the Fire Department and often drove the Fire Engine. :)

There is a time to go over the speed limit, and there is a time to go under the speed limit. I may be a woman, but you could never accuse me of being a 'woman driver'. Dad taught me right.

For those who want the thrills of speed, it's been said here already: Take it to a course where you won't hurt anyone but yourself.

This is quite believable to me too. My friend got pulled over on a back road for going 90 in a 40. The cops were extraordinarily pissed and thought he was drunk and everything (he wasn't). His friend that was riding shotgun was a Police Explorer and got out of the car and talked to the cops. They let my friend off after some stern warnings to both guys.

That said, I still think amdforever2 is full of it.
