This is the most traumatizing experience ever.

3 tickets: Careless driving, the speeding, headlight out.

Out after curfew. 17 years old. Didn't have license with me. Probation for previous speeding of 68 in a 35.

My friend had a military ID.

I was given no tickets.

I'm confused... what was the final result? First you say you got three tickets, then you got none?

Well he was "supposed" to until the friend whipped out the military ID... Cops usually back off after that.

They listed the 3 tickets I could have gotten. They even led me to believe I was going to jail right then.

In the end, no tickets.

This isn't a parody either. I'm serious. My friends were talking to them about super troopers and stuff while the other cop verified stuff.

Why are you all saying he's making it up?

It's completely believable.

SLOW DOWN, FOO.

Yeah, you're all big and clever cause you got off, but when you kill someone who pulls out of a side road, not expecting you flying down on him @90Mph, you'll feel pretty small.

If this is a joke, you need a week off.

Man...I gotta remember to pull out my military ID if I ever get pulled over again. I have one, might as well put it to some use since most use I got out of it ceased while slick willy was in office

I'm not sure it was all the military id thing or the time they had to talk to the cops or that the cops were just cool, but I'm amazed too.

I believe him because something similar happened to me many years ago. I, however, wound up with one ticket when I could have gotten 5 or 6.

One of the kids in my class told us about his brother getting caught with 105 in 55 zone and not getting a ticket because he pulled out his military ID :) I wonder if they have fake ones :D

Just think how your family would feel if you had hit a slick spot, flipped the car, and died.

Or worse, killed an innocent person on the street.

A young woman strolling her newborn baby got killed on the streets of a quiet, upper middle class neighborhood near me because some 'studly' teenage boy liked to drive fast. Thought he was cool, roaring down the neighborhood streets.

I don't remember what his final sentencing was, but I hope he lives with the specter of killing someone's mom, wife, and daughter every day. THAT would be traumatizing.

<---not amused by little boys who think driving RECKLESSLY is cool. :|

I got hit one time doing 65 in a 45. Didn't mean to, I was in a new car and wasn't used to it. Anywho, an unmarked State Trooper got me. He asked why I was speeding. I told him that I was late to pick up my brother from the airport, who was coming home from Okinawa. The trooper asked if he was military, I said yes, he said slow it down and have a nice day. This was a long time ago, way before 9/11 and everyone loved the military.

Agreed. It always takes an accident to get a kid to learn when he's this virgin behind the wheel. I hope your first accident doesn't cost a life so that you can learn your lesson.

It took me till I turned 18 to slow down... that was 2 years too long.
