I am definitely a cat person but I can tolerate, even like, some dogs.

Dogs are pets. Cats are companions.

Dogs are companions, cats are pets. All you do to a cat is feed it. The cat doesn't give a shit about you. You can't take a cat with you anywhere. You can't take it to the park on a leash.

Dogs are loyal and loving. They can and love to accompany you to the park for a jog. Dogs are companions.

My cat has a leash and travels with me. He greets me at the door.

I think you have had bad cats.

Every dog greets it's owner at the door. Not all cats do. And dogs get so excited when you come home. Every cat I have ever seen is boring and kept to itself.

I have to agree with Safeway on this.

Cat. It kills everything that comes in the house (mice, bugs, spiders) and is an absolute blast to play with (laser pointer, dangly things, string), soft and cuddly, quiet, clean, and poops in a box.

Dogs chase things, knock things over, lick you, stink, bark, go outside to poo, need to be walked, eat my food off the grill, poop where I walk, and click everywhere they walk.

Nahh, not bad cats, bad owners.

I actually like both a lot. My first pet was a dog and she was great.

But currently we have a cat and he sure was cute when he was a kitten. He's also a lot of fun, but unfortunately they are not as cute when they get older...

Bottom line - I voted cat cause that's what I have now, but I like both.

Dog. Cats are shitty hunting companions.

Actually, cheetahs are considered superior hunting animals to dogs. But people haven't hunted with them for hundreds of years now.😉

Both, but cats are much more practical & easy going.

You've got to walk dogs, clean them, clean up after them, and they constantly demand attention.

Our kitty exercises herself (although she does enjoy playing with us), manages her toilet, cleans herself, and while she's extremely affectionate, she enjoys doing her own thing for a reasonable proportion of her day.

We have two dogs and one cat. We don't discriminate on dog size either, one is a small maltese/shi-tzu mix, the other is a white german shepherd (although he's only 11 weeks old right now)

I have both but I'm really more of a cat person. I like their independence and low maintenance. I love my dog though, I couldn't ask for a better one.
