Cats or Dogs? Which do you prefer.

cats are the conduit to hell. and they dont listen very well. and they steal babies breath. and their breath smells like fish if you feed them tuna.

my dog does... not the purring part, but he does claw sometimes when we play. kind of funny to see tho, he usually turns his head upside down to do it. and hand biting while playing is one of the staples of dog play.
 
I am definitely a cat person but I can tolerate, even like, some dogs.

Dogs are pets. Cats are companions.

Yea, but your dog does it in a playful, loving way. Not in a teenage "I HATE YOU" way followed by running into their room.
 
I've met so many good and bad examples of both that I like both...but training makes a HUGE difference. Great dogs are in many ways better than great cats, but bad dogs are MUCH worse than bad cats.

I guess given a choice I'd own a cat, but both work for me!

Dogs are companions, cats are pets. All you do to a cat is feed it. The cat doesn't give a shit about you. You can't take a cat with you anywhere. You can't take it to the park on a leash.

Dogs are loyal and loving. They can and love to accompany you to the park for a jog. Dogs are companions.
 
Cat. It kills everything that comes in the house (mice, bugs, spiders) and is an absolute blast to play with (laser pointer, dangly things, string), soft and cuddly, quiet, clean, and poops in a box.

Dogs chase things, knock things over, lick you, stink, bark, go outside to poo, need to be walked, eat my food off the grill, poop where I walk, and click everywhere they walk.

My cat has a leash and travels with me. He greets me at the door.

I think you have had bad cats.
 
I like both, but dogs take a lot of work to take care of. If you want to leave for a week, all you have to do is fill up your cat's food dish and clean the box.
