A cat owns you.

I love that about them.
They do absolutely what they want, when they want.
I love the look a cat gives you when you tell it do something.
its like " You want ME to do that, hrm, nah I don't think so, maybe later"

I also love that stretch they do when they wake up and start to walk.
Its so personal, stretch the back leg, then stretch out the front legs, kinda bend down, then start walking.

I like that their purrsonalities are all different, just like people🙂

I think I saw it on a greeting card once...

"Dogs think they're human....
....Cat's know they're God"

I'll take either one, but as a companion, a small dog is gonna win for me. Personable, yet small enough to take with me around the world.

where do "don't p00p on my property" people fit?

It's fun chasing the dog and his owner down with a pastic bag and telling them to clean it the fuck up.

It's even more fun when they refuse to.

I've had both - grew up with a dog, then when she died, my mom got a few cats...we had a couple of cats in my college apartment too. Recently, after graduating and move out, I just got a dog.

I love them both, but I like dogs much better. Its much more responsibility, but I always feel much more of a connection with a dog than with cats.

Well, most cats love me on sight.I step out onto my porch and sometimes they come running to see me.

Of course the cat that lives here totally HATES me,lol, she likes my husband though.

Having a cat is almost like having a room mate, for the most part they take care of themselves. Having a dog is like having a small child, almost constant care needed. Have/had both, and love them both, but since i am not home much cats are alot easier. And yes i am lazy.

mature >>>>>> anyone feeding this thread.

Think people of what's being presented not just that you like dogs or cats better.

I love cats and I'm far from senile.

The first article never said that people get it from cats.. But they are the target.

"Billions of people are infected with Toxoplasma, which they pick up from the soil or from contaminated meat or water."

I used to hate cats and love dogs. I find myself growing in fond of cats. I feel that it is somehow linked to my maturity.

Yeah, you are pretty mature. That's why you start threads about being more mature than a dog owner because you happen to like cats. That's what mature people do.

Exactly.

Going crazy and collecting cats seems to go hand in hand. To a nutcase, cats are like potato chips- you can't have just one!

Cat people are more mature than dog people....

Mature people don't make threads to claim they're more mature than some other group of people. So, while your claim may be a true stereotype, it certainly doesn't apply across the board.
