Thank you everyone who participated in the poll, i will be heading to the humane society this weekend and pick out a cat. pictures to follow.
 
Honestly, it doesn't sound like you're cut out for either a cat or a dog. You're already stating that you're not going to spend much time with it. You're one of those people who wants a pet for the hell of it and you're just going to neglect it.
 
Whoever thinks a cat is active must not have ever been around cats. Since ACTIVE is the first thing on the list of requirements... I'd go with a Dog. Can't take a cat on a walk to get girls. Can't easily take them to a park to get girls. Dogs can go retrieve things form the girls and then you get to meet them when you return the item. Dogs can be cuter...

I'd go with a Golden Retriever myself.

But if you are just going to neglect the pet and not consider it a child and a part of your new family.. then do the pets a favor and get a goldfish.

Haanji, get 2 kittens They will keep each other company, as you aren't there much.

I got two kittens in 1993, They are still alive and well and the best decision I ever made.

They have become part of the family.
