It's always fun to turn my cat loose on an errant cricket or spider in the house. She won't chow down a stink bug, though.....I don't blame her ;) It is kinda nasty listening to her crunch on those crickets, however :disgust:

When I had cats, I loved to watch them chase a fly of mosquito around. They would jump on everything trying to get at it. Really funny.

Happened to me. Bit him right on the nose. He's afraid of spiders now, but not any other kind of bug. It's the wierdest thing that he can so easily tell a spider from other bugs...

So your cat hasn't discovered the great fun yet of leaving the cricket minus its head in your shoe early in the morning?

I bet you won't find it so funny when your cat gets stung/bitten and you have to go to the vet and pay a few bills. :p

I need a cat. *attempts to scratch ass*

You want the cat to scratch your ass? :Q

Yeah cats love catching anything.....one of our cat used to crunch flies all the time....wasn't terribly pleasant....cannot see how they could taste nice....many cats have trouble eating spiders because they taste horrible....they still try though....

bah, my dog would toy with spiders. wouldn't eat em, just torture em. place paw over spider repeatedly to stop it moving. mouth it, drop it back down, pat it a few more times while it tried to scramble away. paw at it it until its dead, then lose interest.

Oh, cats like that too! Pull out all the legs on 1 side, then leave it to crawl around in circles.

And our cats used (to our disliking) to bring in birds they caught, sit under the dining table (one on each end) with a paw on the bird, and once in a while lift the paw. The bird, who would be totally freaked out, would try to fly away, and fly against the table top at full speed, and fall back stunned in front of the second cat.

They used to like that game, but we didn't as we'd have to break the neck of the bird by the time we got to it, as the bird would be wounded too far to survive.

one of my cats when i was a kid would bring in mice and drop them places as presents for us.
one time he came in, so pleased with himself. he went up to my mothers room and started to put it in her empty shoe she screamed so he stopped, looked at her, then moved over to her open purse and was about to drop it when she screamed (again) "god no!" at which point he looked like he just said "screw it" and walked out, dropping it in her shoe on his way.
