My cats love catching bugs and eating/tearing them apart. I remember one time we got a cricket in the house and all 3 cats went after it and tore the poor thing apart. Found a leg there, part of the body over there, etc.

They also found a lizard in the house last night, which apparently stowed away in some firewood I brought in. Fortunately, I was able to catch it and put it outside, but this morning the youngest cat (who actually found the lizard in the first place) was sniffing around like she was trying to find it. :D

bah, my dog would toy with spiders. wouldn't eat em, just torture em. place paw over spider repeatedly to stop it moving. mouth it, drop it back down, pat it a few more times while it tried to scramble away. paw at it it until its dead, then lose interest.

Oh, cats like that too! Pull out all the legs on 1 side, then leave it to crawl around in circles.

And our cats used (to our disliking) to bring in birds they caught, sit under the dining table (one on each end) with a paw on the bird, and once in a while lift the paw. The bird, who would be totally freaked out, would try to fly away, and fly against the table top at full speed, and fall back stunned in front of the second cat.

They used to like that game, but we didn't as we'd have to break the neck of the bird by the time we got to it, as the bird would be wounded too far to survive.

LMAO!!! I hate cats, but those cats sound so entertaining!!!! Reminds me of the one week I spent in India when I was 7 or 8 yrs old. I would set booby traps to catch crows and stuff. Then I would tie a string around the feet and watch it fly away, except the string was only 30 feet long or so and I'd treat the bird like a kite.

I'm going to hell.
