ive always been a gamer, probably always will. i went to college for game design theory as well as digital animation. i play games usually nightly after my kids crash, and i dont ahve one IRL friend that plays games beyond a casual xbox pr playstation title once in a while. id say if youre really having issues connecting on the level you guys used to connect on and conversation is going nowhere when you try to change the subject from gaming, start finding other things to do with your time once in a while. either youll come to the conclusion that the friendship was going nowhere fast and youll move on, or youll decide you miss that interaction with them and seek them out more. conversely, they may either notice youre gone and call you up and hang outside under the big fiery ball, or may not even notice youre gone and fire up the latest game without a thought to your whereabouts.
either way, you have the power. man up and use it.
