so i gotta a couple buds from way back in their 30's who are just wake up,work, come home and play games, rinse repeat.
i dunno, i just can't play like i used to..maybe in 15 minute spurts, sometimes more.
i think the vast majority of the games out there suck and even if they didnt..i wouldnt play them anyways.
its kinda hard to have a convo when all they want to talk about is their achievements on x360.

Get new friends. I've known my best friends for over 20 years, and I'd rather play video games while they'd rather do drugs. It's fine for friends to have different hobbies so long as they can find some common ground to connect on.

i still game a lot, but usually i don't rotate games much.

for a few months i was playing burnout paradise, then i got hooked on hot shots golf and still play that daily. those are really the only 2 games i've been playing this whole year.

i'll probably stick to this until burnout paradise DLC comes out, then when Gears2 comes out in november.

there's nothing wrong with meeting new people. also, your friends may get jealous about you hanging out with your "new friends" and start hanging out with you more in a different setting.

Either that or tell them you want to break up with them because you guys never spend quality time together anymore.

So... you don't try to stimulate the conversation with things that interest you at all?

The douchery is high in this thread. Really, you're in your 30's I gather, and crying that your friends play video games? I might expect this attitude from a 14 year old....

that's ALL they do beyond going to work.
if they want to hang out, it isnt "let go have lunch" or lets go OUT
no, its lets go over your house and play videogames, or come over and lets play videogames

This reads kind of like it's going to turn into a segue for a Cialis commercial.

If your gaming system remains on for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.

I'm in my 30s now and I have to say my gaming has cut down quite a bit also. However, every now and then a game will come along and suck me in and I can't get out, usually an RPG. It hasn't really happened in a while, but I kinda look forward to it the way I look forward to getting immersed in a great book.

I think Puzzle Quest was the last one to destroy my life.

That is because you are not playing Ikariam. Looks like you ought to, or your life is for naught.

patience is thin now.
jrpg make work games are dead to me.
frustrate with stupidity/jump puzzles i quit.
after a while u've seen it all, games are mostly just retreads with better graphics, and the endings rarely justify playing to the end. a quick game of counterstrike here and there is enough. get down to the business of fun immediately
