Having an opinion /= requiring anything.
Thanks for missing the fucking point.
Having an opinion /= requiring anything.
Is our Constitution consistent with sharia law? I don't think it's a stretch to say "no fucking way." So Carson is essentially correct, regardless of the knee-jerk responses regarding Christianity by the usual suspects in here who are basically screaming "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." Why those same suspects feel such an impulse to always run interference when it comes to any subject that makes Islam look the least bit bad, I'll never understand.
Unless...

I swear it's like an immutable law of the universe.
Islam gets insulted.
Liberals tear down Christianity.
The irony. Criticize Islam in a majority muslim country, I dare anyone. That alone gives credence to what Carson said.
He was specifically asked if Islam was consistent with the Constitution. His response was correct, despite the weak-sauce effort by some in here to discredit and deflect because Christianity is allegedly not consistent either. No one is disputing that Islam is inconsistent with your Constitution. However, Christianity is also not consistent with it. So, Carson is just babbling nonsense in his criticism. Not just nonsense though, Unconstitutional nonsense.

btw, I'm agnostic but I also know that quoting Old Testament doesn't mean shit. Existing Christian morals are not based on the Old Testament. Islam does not make such a distinction and they still base their laws on shit that hasn't been relevant since the 8th fucking century.

How many Christian clerics today debate whether or not it's OK to beat your wife, and how it should be done?Yet he said a Muslim should not be President. That is clearly Unconstitutional.
Some Christians may not use the Old Testament for their morals. Many others do though.
No, Carson isn't remotely correct, and you know it. The question wasn't about Sharia or those who think Sharia law should be the law of the land. It was about "Islam" and "Muslims." But instead of "individualizing" his second response, as he correctly did with his first response, he went all in on painting all Muslims with the same xenophobic brush. Is our Constitution consistent with sharia law? The question was actually about sharia because it specifically asked:No, Carson isn't remotely correct, and you know it. How many Muslims clerics do that?
And I agree with Carson, a Muslim should not be President. Actually, I would prefer that all Presidents be Atheists, but that is unlikely to happen any time soon. We're getting there though because Christianity is slowly dying in this country. I can't say the same for countries that subscribe to Islam.
<-- This 100% true!!!The irony. Criticize Islam in a majority muslim country, I dare anyone. That alone gives credence to what Carson said.
And they won't get their way in this country because the SC has decided otherwise.Completely moot. Many not only oppose Same Sex Marriage, some have called for the Criminalization of Homosexual activity itself. That is Unconstitutional.
The question was actually about sharia because it specifically asked:
"So do you believe that Islam is consistent with the Constitution?"
Islam demands that sharia law is the law of the land. So of course it is not consistent with the Constitution. Stop acting ignorant about this.
<-- This 100% true!!!
iow, you clearly don't know shit about Islam. Please let the adults talk here if you're going to act like an adolescent moron.Lol! Islam demands and therefore it must be the reality? By your same retarded logic, the bible also has rules and laws therefore all bible believers also support and follow those laws and rules. Right? No? Surely you don't believe that people of any faith have varying degrees in which they adhere to their faiths teachings.
Take your own advice and stop acting ignorant about this.
Sharia law may come from Muslim beliefs but that certainly doesn't mean all Muslims believe/ support/or want sharia law.
What a tiny world you must live in.
So basically what we have is that Carson has an opinion... And Liberals do not agree with it.
Wow.
And they won't get their way in this country because the SC has decided otherwise.
How many Muslim countries permit gay marriage? Feel free to name them.
Edit: How many Muslim countries have severe penalties or even death for gay people? Yet, let's pretend the Christians are no better. Please stop the insanity.
Is that not allowed? Are the opinions of political candidates above criticism? So basically what we have is that Carson has an opinion... And Liberals do not agree with it.
Wow.
Because this allegedly Christian country has now allowed gay marriage. We don't hang gays or imprison them for life. Our treatment of women is far above and beyond that which Muslim countries allow. So please stop trying to draw some kind of moral equivalency. It's not even fucking close and only the most oblivious of morons would even try to do that.Your points are all moot. My point still stands, Christianity is also inconsistent with the US Constitution as Islam. The 2 may differ or be similar on the details, but neither is consistent with the Constitution.
Why is this so hard for you to grasp?
