I hate cars named with just letters and numbers, talk about unimaginative! I would rather have a car named Aztek rather than the XC23190856. That's just dumb. Make up some words or something I don't care, but don't give me boring letters and numbers that don't mean a thing to me.

"Yeah, umm, I'm looking to get the new GR456890121301793010 super turbo edition with the Yosemite Sam mud flaps!"

<<But, HEY, someone help me out here. The real reason I'm in this thread is for ugly car model names, and I can't remember, but an oriental manufacturer who came "relatively" late to the US market had a whole range, like four different names, that sounded like computer generated rejects picked by a non-English speaker. They were hands down the lamest car model names I had ever heard, and were all replace after only a couple of years. For some reason, I can't shake the feeling it was Mitsubishi, but I guess that's wrong, so it must have been some Korean manufacturer -- but not Hyundai or Kia -- was it Daewoo? CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT HERE?

Trust me, these names were the absolute worst!>>

Daihatsu? I can't remember the names of their cars though, and I think they just did trucks...

My Sunbird got mr through 3 years of High School. I cant count the number of times it stalled on me (and it only has 75K miles on it, its a 1988 SE model) But it did get my frieends and I to our destinations eventually. I lovingly named it my "SunB!tch"

<< Ford Aspire doesn't make me especially angry, but does make me laugh. It's barely a car....as in "aspiring" to be a real car.

Maybe I'm just a dork, but I still think it was an unfortunate name choice.

Tercel, Liberty, Focus, Citation, Gremlin (no, wait i like that name!), Batmobile

when you have numbers, people will never hate you :) BMW and Mercades seem pretty smart ;)
it always sounds neater when you hear "i drive a BMW 750i series with optional bulletproof glass" instead of "i drive an AMC Citation with optional engine"

Chevy Nova
In Spanish "no va" means it doesn't go. Nobody in Spanish speaking countries bought one of those things. Chevy lost out there. Ooops.

All of you people saying "anything ford" are freakin retarded. Please note that ford has been vehicle sales leader for uhmm yeah, the last 6,7, 8 years, somethin like that. Many OLD fords suck, agreed. But its just stupid to continue with the "Ford is crap" idea. Ford has its lame ass low end models, just like every other company.

<< Ford Powerstroke .. that is cheezy >>

K there Jackass, the Powerstroke was the diesel motor. the VEHICLES that it went into WERE: F150, F250, F350, F450 and so on. Also, econoline vans. Along with some industrial vehicles. So yeah, Ford Powerstroke, what a stupid name for a vehicle!

Hmmm, funny, many vehicles are named with only a few letters and have been for Decades and EVERYONE who's into cars on this forum knows em right away, so whats just dumb about it? Why would they be 20 digits? there is no reason, you're just not thinking straight I think :)

RagingBitch mentioned a few models... A4.... M3... Wow TWO letters... where do you get your figures of 20 digits? the Z-28 has been the Z-28 for 30 years now... when you say I have a 1984 Z-28 BOOM your done, there is no 20 digits about it. EVERY model I listed can be identified with ease. My vehicle for example is a 99 Z-71.... Anyone with any vehicle knowledge knows then that I have a 1999 GM 1/2 ton 4x4 from that... with 5 digits I just explained what I have.

The vehicle doesn't need to have to have a "Imaginative" name to make up for any lack the vehicle has.... Ferrari 308 Porsche 911, come up with any name you want for em, name em after a Carebear for all I care, still the exact same car it was before.
