I sold car audio for 8+ years so I went through a lot of stuff. Every spring I would usually upgrade to whatever was new so that I could demo the stuff.

My favorite setup was:
Pioneer head unit. No motorized face but with the OEL display.
Polk DB highs and mids.
Directed Audio subs and amp.

I never liked 4 channel amps in my personal car. I also insisted that everything fit into stock locations. IMHO a good install looks just like stock but sounds like a concert.

Over the years I had some Soundstream amps, Memphis Belle amps - I love Alpine R speakers (though inefficient) and others that I can't recall now.

I have the following in my Altima
Pioneer DEH-P6700MP
Infinity Reference 625i components front
Infinity Reference 6.25" coaxials rear fill
Kenwood KFC-W110s
Soundstream Di300.1

It sounds nice, but I want to amp the fronts and rear fill, put my Alpine HU in, and get a nice 4ohm subwoofer.
