Tonight the side of my car was hit by a bonehead who didn't see me and pulled out of his parking spot on the right side of the road as I was passing. I got all his info and took pics with my disposable camera--both cars, him, and the area. I called the cops but they wouldn't come because there was no injury or hit and run.
Damage to my car extends from the passenger wheel well, along the door, and into the rear quarter.
I called my insurance company, Geico, and filed a claim. I have to go to this auto body shop that does estimates for them. Geico will then cut me a check and I can get it repaired anywhere. If I get it done at that shop the repairs are warranteed for the life of the car.
Geico says it is a "non-fault" accident. They will try to collect everything, including my $500 deductible, from the other guy's insurance.
What have I forgotten to do? What other questions should I ask? TIA
======================
11/15 update: well Geico says that non-fault refers to my liability, in that they believe the other guy to be 100% at fault. I got an estimate today, take a guess if you like, I'll post the number later if anyone's interested.

double ouch (spring is for the convertible top)
1/9 update
Almost 6 weeks since I dropped it off and it's finally done. The shop did a pretty good job, the right side looks good as new. Of course now it looks better than the 4-1/2 year old left side. As soon as Geico recovers my deductible THEY'RE SO FIRED. That fvcking company sucks, it has been nothing but a hassle dealing with them. You get a different person every time you call, and no one knows wtf they're doing. DIE YOU POS GECKO
