Captains of Crush .... hand grippers

Thinking of this as a request for an X-mas present. A co-worker has a #1 and #2 that I can try out to see where my starting point should be. I'm hoping to ask my wife for 3 of these for x-mas.

I was wondering what peoples thoughts are and if there are other brands I should consider. These things are expensive.

Do these hold value?

Get the CoC brand. They're the most respected as far as resale would be.

My buddy bought the T, #1, and #2 to start with. We've been using them for about 3 weeks (2x/wk) and I can do reps with the T and #1, still about 2mm short of closing the #2 with my dominant hand and about 4mm short on my other hand.

If you've never done any of the training, you'll likely start with a T or a 1. #2 is a pretty big jump from a #1, so large in fact that they introduced a 1.5 level.

I'd also say, treat it like a normal "lift" style exercise that you do 1-2x/wk. It's not something you'll want to do while watching TV on the couch. Take it seriously.

I've read that you should immediately get the next level higher than the level you can close for one. You do this so you can do negatives on say, a 2.5 while still working on reps for the 2.0.

Enjoy mate they are a lot of fun for the office. It really puts everyone in their place lol. I"ve taken it to the gym and I've had people not close the no2 lol or even the no1. Then I do 5reps on the no2.
