I love meat.
And I love pissing off vegetarians by eating meat.
I'm a vegetarian and have been since I was six.
It doesn't piss me off when people eat meat, as long as they don't shove it in my face or be obnoxious about eating it. I eat what I want to eat, they eat what they want and we don't try to convince each other to change. Fine with me.
This is exactly how I feel about it. I don't eat meat, and it's usually a non factor except for when people try to make a deal out of not eating eat. I keep my trap shut until someone argues with me about it.
I'm not sure why it bothers other that I don't eat meat
Because it's a fad. Somehow it has become "cool" to be vegetarian. And the people who are vegetarian because they feel sorry for the animals are just silly. Humans are omnivores by nature... always have been, always will be.
The only reason I can think of that I can respect someone's decision to be vegetarian is to avoid all the unnatural additives that end up in meat like growth hormones... in which case, they should look for "organic meat" instead of avoiding meat completely.
Yes, I am sure that everyone choosing to become a vegetarian makes this life decision to appear "cool." Humans are omnivores by nature. I agree, although I do believe that when
we have to cook meat in order to digest it, it implies that those meats probably were not meant to be processed by us. We go against many things that nature tells us to do. This is what makes us civilized. I have made the decision to stop eating meat because I do not agree with the way the meat industry treats the animals it slaughters. I also know that I could never kill an animal. I feel like if you can't kill your own meat, you probably don't deserve to eat it. So I have become a vegetarian. Why does it bother you so much?
