I recently installed the 12.8 AMD drivers and installed the latest version of MSI Afterburner 2.2.3 but I can't go past the AMD limits. What settings do I need to change in the .cfg file to go past the Catalyst limits?

Try using Asus GPU Tweak version 2.0.83 to unlock the clockspeeds, it should work.

I am running Afterburner in unofficial mode on the 12.8s by the way.

In the .cfg file, after you add the EULA line, try changing the Unofficial Overclocking Mode to 2.

This post is also very helpful.

You might need to add in two "missing" dll's which disable overclocking for some reason. It's very easy, and you can find the guide for that here. I had to do it, because unofficial overclocking or the /xcl tag in Afterburner didn't work for me.
