cant boot into windows

When I turn on my laptop, a black screen comes on and says that It cannot boot into windows. It says invalid boot.ini file, NTdetect failed?

You can try booting to the windows cd/recovery console and running fdisk /mbr.

If you can go into Recovery Console, at the command prompt, do: Type Boot.ini to see your boot file.

If you still cannot fix it, boot from a Window installation CD and do a repair re-installation.

Probably a failing HD!
