I posted the same question in the OS forums and got no replies, so here it goes again...
last nite i freshly installed windows on my main computer as i replaced the mobo. the DVDROM drive in question was fine before i installed SP2. now it seems to be reading the dvds fine - autoplay works and i could play files in wmp or view pics in a slideshow. the problem is it wont let me access the file tree through folders or windows explorer. when i double click on it nothing happens selecting the path through a pulldown menu ends up in the same deadend. does anyone have any idea what may have possibly caused it? i installed the ASPI driver (forgot which version) before patching the windows btw... uninstalling nero didnt help either..
