To all those who've got the A40..... mine makes a typical sound when I zoom&focus it. It goes like ' zmmmmm cluck-cluck' The last part of the noise ....cluck cluck, does not sound OK to me. I want to know if your camera also makes this noise. It also is coming when I swicth on my camera..
Got my camera today finally. Didn't receive the 128MB card though, I called up CSR and they said they'll tell the delivery center to send it out. I just checked my credit card online and they didn't charge me yet for the camera and I didn't receive a credit for the PM yet either. Never had a vendor not bill me before they sent it out. Anyone else have that happen?
That does not sound good... cluck cluck I mean.... I spoke with Canon Support and they said it sounds like aproblem with the lend transport... it would be going to their repair centre... just 2 weeks old... not good ... not good
Mine arived on Monday, charged was made on Tuesday but did not show up until late last night or this morning.
Yeah, it's much too soon to deal with warranty repair service. I would just exchange it if I were you. (Mine makes no such 'clucking' noise.)
I would love to exchange it. But it's been over 14 days (OM's return/exchange policy). Plus none of the OM stores around my place have this camera in stock.

I tried to call to get in on this deal but then they said that the coupon can't be used over the phone cuz that's an online order. Is that policy or was the CSR being difficult? Also, I have to be using the 30 off 150 cuz I can't find the 40 off 225 anywehre. If someone can tell me where that is it would be greatly appreciated. . .
No discover card. Is that the only 40 off 225 out there? Also, should I just try for a diff CSR? Cuz as far as I know u can use online coupons ocer the phone.
I would try to call back and talk to someone else. Several of us, myself included, used the coupon over the phone with no problem.

Gotta be the CSR cuz I have used online coupons several times over the phone.
The only problems I have run into with ordering over the phone is
1.) it seems like some of the CSRs just really don't know how to do stuff.
and
2.) some of the merchandise online is not available. But again, this could be because of problem 1.

Yes. Just make sure you write down your order number, 'cause you will need it for the online form.

RossMan, there is no need to remove the 64MB card info from the title, as here in NJ area, there was an offer for 64MB in this week's OM ad also !
Is this deal still available? I can't find the $40 of 250 coupon anywhere (techbargains, f@twallet) and the camera is no longer on officemax's website. Do I need to call in to order? If someone could PM me I'd appreciate it. The waterproof case accessory makes this a great camera for me. Thanks!
