I am disappointed in only ONE new lens??? EF 16-35 F2.8 MkII?

I think most people agree that the vanilla 16-35 barely competes with the 17-40 F4L that costs half as much, so this MkII better be good!

That is my biggest disappointment today. ONE LENS! Where is my EF 24-70 F2.8L IS?

I would like a 200 1.8 IS myself. :p I hope to snatch up a 200 1.8 someday before they're completely extinct.

Canon has a history of bringing out products outside the weeks leading up to PMA and Photokina.
IIRC, the 5D was one of them. I wouldn't be too let down. From what I heard the 1DsMkIII was supposed to have been announced along with the 1DMkIII. They decided to do a lot more QA/QC with this, and from I heard, the new lenses that will resolve the detail the rumored 22mp sensor it will carry, have been delayed as well.
All hearsay until it's official of course. But for now, I wouldn't be let down as of yet.

I would guess 4k+
Yup, methinks it'll be around thereabouts. Probably between 4-5K. The 6K+ spot is reserved for the 1DsMKIII
What does the 1DsMKIII have that the 1DMKIII does not?

It will probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 MP and a full-frame sensor.

Like tfinch said, 22MP sensor, full frame, slower rate of picture taking.

They are two different cameras used for two different purposes. The 1D series have always been for the fast action or sports photographer. The 1Ds seres have always been more of the really high resolution whatever camera that doesn't do as well with fast action as the 1D series.
