god i suck at using my camera

where do i read up to use the manual features more?

i just use it as a point and shoot cam 🙁

likewise any tips out there, esp. macro shots without a tripod?

Sunny weather, no zoom, full manual controls, fastest shutter speed for f/2.8. I like to use manual focus for this, setting it to the shortest distance and accomodating accordingly.

One tip that I found very useful is the Unsharp Mask filter in Adobe Photoshop. It GREATLY increases image quality, eliminating the A70 inherited softness.

Nice tip. I just bought PSP8 and this filter makes A70 images really improve (even to my sloppy eye).
