Cannot Drink Alcohol anymore

Ok, so last night I got in from work around Midnight. We had our company "potluck" dinner as well, and I drank lots of coke and tea, which means I was not going to sleep anytime soon. So to counter the effects of the caffine, I had a sprite with a couple of shots of amaretto mixed in. after a few minutes my face felt really hot, itchy, and really funny. My wife came in from the kitchen with me a little snack and just froze.........................

She looked at me funny and asked if I was feeling ok, I said for the most part I was, but my face felt funny. She got her little compact mirror from her handbag and showed me my face. It was swollen and red, and I mean rudolf the red nosed reindeer red, and I looked like I just lost all 10 rounds with Hollyfield. My eyes were becoming little slits, my nose turned stuffy, and i felt like my face was on fire.

Well, i wasn't sure what had caused it, so i drank some ice water and after about an hour, it settled down, so I drank some more sprite/amaretto, and it started happening again. So I quit the drinking and stayed strictly with the ice water.

Woke up this morning and felt fine, face back to normal, and I threw away what little amaretto I had left.

I called the Dr, and he basically told me to not drink ever again, because I now run the risk of having my throat close up on me, and dieing a very painfull and slow way.

So, Ulfwald cannot drink anymore. 🙁🙁🙁🙁

If I remember correctly, Amareto has something to do with hazelnuts, so no wonder you got pwned, if you have any such allergy...

So far i have no allergies that I know of, other than spring pollen in GA, and i am 37 years old. If i remember correctly, My face felt hot and flushed after a couple of beers on Monday as well.

And then he woke up in some man's strange bed with a hangover with no pants on.

That's all you needed to say. 😀

Sorry, Ulfwald don't play that game. But if you are interested, i am sure we could hook you up with jerboy.

😀😀😀

I will try another beer tonight, if I start feeling weird again, then i will have to quit consuming the stuff.

If you can see an allergist and try to get it nailed down to something specific. Not being able to drink *any* alcohol would be bad. 🙁

you had a severe alergic reaction to something.

You need to find out what that something was. Contact the guys at amaretto and get an ingredient list.
