Anyone else ever open up a can, put salt and pepper on it and eat it right out of the can?

EWW NO! Drain- Add mayonnaise, mustard, relish, sugar, 2 boiled eggs and tuna is good! However, adding salt and paper to a can is nasty!

Yes - all the time. I don't add salt and pepper btw. I love the taste all by itself.

I do add salt and pepper if I'm making 'actual' tuna fish sandwiches. Mayonnaise, tad of mustard, salt, pepper, eggs, sweet pickles. Yum also.

All the time, DaTT. I like mine with LOTS of fresh pepper, or some BBQ sauce. Gotta drain it well, mix with about a half cup of milk, stir, let stand five minutes, drain the milk (down the drain, or make a cat happy), and rinse well with water. It is called "milking" and it removes all of the strong fishy taste. Oh, the things you can learn watching Iron Chef!

I used to do this because of the protein. I would open up the can and just dig right in. If you drain the water, the tuna will be too dry to eat.

Go for chunk (not albacore white) tuna in light water (not oil .. ewww).
