i havent had one in a few years, and i always got them on my bottom lip. i used to pull my lip out and dry it with a washcloth or cottom ball, then dip a q-tip in alcohol and put it right on the sore and leave it there for a minute or two. it hurts like a bitch and will bring tears to your eyes but i do believe for me it dried them up faster.

Never got them there before. Mine were always on the inside of my mouth, opposite the gums
