I'm at the castle entrance, hard time - wasn't even looking closely to use items, used teleport scroll not realizing that's a very bad idea for this one.

Two tries later, got in the entrace, but I don't wanna repeat that, took a bunch of health potions and fire scrolls.

I'm on the Castle Stairs, it's kicking my butt. But I just realized I should use some area-of-effect scrolls there, so that may help.

For what it's worth, that one I got on the first try with just 2 or 3 heals, and an imp I think, just now.

I found a walk-through online (which wasn't actually a complete walk-through, as far as I could tell) that suggested avoiding the Sword of Life, and going for either the fire or imp/summoning sword (they weren't sure between those two which was better).

Later on you will get a piece of jewelry that will make this a worthwhile (unattended) farming area.

It's nice that you don't have to watch it, and can work on other stuff while it's running. I wish I could do this with the keep too.

You have to wait til at least 150 seconds to be able to buy the first weapon, then you can access the quest tabs. As you earn more candies, and conquer more quests, more options get unlocked. Keep in mind you can do quests over and over; you don't have to advance each time. You can do the forest quest repeatedly until you find a chest (CHS). They usually have 400-600+ candies in them, and sometimes other goodies.

i have not felt this much accomplishment since, i dunno, skyrim maybe
