It is sort of ironic, Our rents here are extremely high but our electric and cable bills are low.

Our electric bill is always under $40 even in the summer.

We use Cox cable and for internet + HD-DVR + 3 movie channels, Full HD TV lineup and landline not voip telephone our bill is $100. Much cheaper than when I was with comcast.

wtf cox is charging me 121ish a month for digital cable, cable internet, and basic phone.

I have a few upgraded tiers of channels, but no movie channels/hd-dvr =\

dunno, I ordered a special deal last summer and it was cheaper to get the landline phone included. I have hbo, cinemax and starz and the hd channels. I did have to pay like $5 xtra to get ESPN and discovery HD.

The only thing I do not like about cox is we are stuck with the motorola dvrs

i want the sci atlantis ones

I signed up and canceled Comcast limited basic cable and internet within a 4 hour period yesterday. Lets just say that you should never trust the team of Worst Buy and Crapcast.

Charter charges $11.88 for basic here which is about 25 channels
They also charge a $10 "service fee" if you have cable internet net but don't subscribe to cable television

Trust me, you don't want the SciAtl one either. Our HD box from Comcast was shite. Half the time it seemed to just forget to record shows. I'd go looking for the latest episode of some show the day after it aired, and it wouldn't be there so I'd go look in the list of programs and it'd show the next recording date as the the prior day. In other words, I'd tell it to record a show on 2/15/07, and when I looked at the machine on 2/16/07 the show wasn't recorded, and instead it would still have a show in the To Be Recorded list dated 2/15/07.

Piece of crap.
