Canceled TV Shows for 2007

Knights of Prosperity

Wasn't that the show where the entire focus was a few guys wanted to rob Mick Jagger? I don't get the plotlines of some shows these days, is it like a personal challenge or something? "Let's see what the single least sustainable plot we can think of for a show would be!" Lost, Prison Break, Drive... Either you stuff it with filler crap (Lost) or the show collapses almost immediately because it was boxed in so badly from the start.

It's a concept that's beyond stupid.

The Black Donnellys, the best show on TV.

Damn, Ive been told I look exactly like one of the main characters, I was hoping it would survive.

jeeze. seems like a lot of shows I watched are off the air this year...

Jericho
The OC
Studio 60
The Apprentice (?)
Gilmore Girls
Veronica Mars

The OC and Studio 60 both had it coming, though, and I'm hoping The Apprentice gets canned. Donald Trump is such a douche. I stopped watching the show this season when it moved to LA. I watched Studio 60 because I love aaron sorkin's writing and I watched The OC because I felt like I had to (I liked the first two seasons a lot, but it went quickly down hill after that).

I'll really miss Jericho and Veronica Mars, though. V. Mars was my Buffy the Vampire Slayer replacement... who's going to fill my need for hot chicks kicking butt and taking names next fall? (though the Buffy comic is doing nicely atm)

Gilmore got canceled? I know so many people that watched that RELIGIOUSLY. Sure this wasnt a planned ending?

not canceled due to low ratings perse, but one of the principal stars (presumably Alexis Bledel or Lauren Graham) wanted more money than the network was willing to part with. the show really went down hill the past two seasons, though... only thing that really kept me watching was matt czuchry being a total hottie, and paris. they should really make a spin-off centered around paris

R.I.P. Studio 60.

now i need to find more images of Amanda Peet

Didn't ABC think that The Nine was going to do well because it followed a similar formula to Lost? Random strangers meeting by chance or some such thing?

I never watched any of these shows regularly. I would catch War at Home from time to time, Jericho a couple times and Daybreak once. I kind of expected Daybreak to get canceled anyway.

Hahaha... "Drive." That looked like the worst fscking show in the history of television.

I believe that dubious distinction belongs to 'Method & Red'

The "Drive" concept had potential, though... It could have easily been a "Cannonball Run 2007" with cool cars and tons of racing action if they did it right. But, NO.... They had to add some demented soccer mom in a minivan and some women that acted like rejects from Desperate Housewives in order to broaden it's viewing audience

Guy & Gals watch DEADWOOD. Best western series ever made. If you want a good series to watch and enjoy do it. It was discontinued but doesnt end horribly and they are going to conclude the series with a 4 hour 2 part series sometime in 2008.

Rome, The Black Donnelly's, Deadwood, Smith....

Bitches🙁

Fantastic shows. Can't believe they got rid of them. Hell, Rome and Deadwood are practically the best programs I have yet to see period.

None. Don't really watch any series. Watch mostly sports and Discovery channel. The only show I kind of follow is South Park.

Same here - I never saw a single episode of any of the shows listed.

Kidnapped: Had a fast start, but got slow for a bit. I did like the show and it may have done better if they could have evened out the pace of it.

Smith: An interesting way to start by showing the result and then going back to build episodes on how they got there. Was getting real interesting as the feds closed down on the chic. There was enough story angles to always wonder what's going to happen next. Can only think it was too smart of a drama for the average schmuck watching TV.

Studio 60: Good mix of comedy and drama. Another disappointing lose.

Black Donnellys: Kinda wondered where the series would go when watching the first show which may have hurt it, but you got a solid feel of the development quickly after that. Could have been a Soprano lite.

The Class: Mostly watched because of its time placement. Didn't get it right away and many of the comedy lines seemed to rely on you knowing previous show content (or where they explained the characters relationships in earlier eps) but it was building on me when they pulled it.

Jericho: Remove that baby from the list!

Sad, I liked The War at Home. Drive was a bit different, but not very catchy.

I *loved* TWAH and thought it had a chance even though they were bait & switching people into watching it different days, I still thought it was a good comedy with some pretty funny punchlines. Michael Rapaport even said there would be a Season 3 when he was on MadTV (ironic, THAT should have been canceled years ago) but I guess someone inside wasn't thrilled with brining it back and decided to toss it in the circular file with the rest.

I guess I'm a partial reason these were canceled...I've seen none of them. I watched most of the first season of Sopranos on DVD but that's all for that list. I don't watch much TV though.
