Canadian ranting-booing our country

Last Sunday Toronto Raptors vs the Pistons. Our anthem comes on. The ignorant Americans in the crowd begin to boo the simple of our country, and our heritage.

Last night Leafs vs the Islanders samething happens...

THis is said and pathetic. Especially being in Newyork for one. Sept 11 attacks who sent tons of firefighters to help clean up the mess and deal with your shortages. Canada. Who sent military troops to Afganistan to help with your war on terrorism. Canada. Who bombed our troops last week during a Canadian exercise. Americans...

Its sad and pathetic.

The same thing is happening in the Canadian arenas right now. It's not fair to single out the Americans. It's just stupid fans, be it Canadian or American.

In their defense, Canucks fans did it too.. not just the other night but last year in the playoffs ... but it's a different situation though.. with the 4 Canadians that lost their lives with the "friendly fire" incident....

but anyway.. I bet it's gonna continue

I mean yes I know the Canadians did it also, only after the americans did it. I know they shouldnt but still...

But I mean especially after your reserve pilot bombed our troops I thought they would be feeling alittle bit of remorse...

This is the first time I remember serious Canadian-American friction. I'm sure it's not the first time, but it's the worst I can remember. Besides, it's just st00pid fans, not all Americans.

figures you guys would find this funny. Just imagine if it happened to you. Or if we bombed your soldiers. I think Bush might even go on the news then instead of having other people do it for him.

we don't find it funny. we explained how we felt in the four other threads that have be started pertaining to this topic.

<< Or if we bombed your soldiers >>

canada? bombs? OMFG CANADA HAS BOMBS?!?!? first they got warships, now they got bombs OMG OMG WHAT NEXT!?!??!

hahhaah j/k

i agree it's pretty f'ed up, those people show no respect ^_^

<< it's rude to boo a country's national anthem, regardless of heritage. >>

No sh!t. It's also rude to keep whining about what some idiots did at a stupid sporting event. Get over it.

my grandpa always told me

"when the canadians fire teh germans duck
when the germans fire the canadians duck
when the americans fire everybody ducks"

*kat. <-- very angry.

<< im sorry if this was the other way around Im sure Larry King would be doing some sort've show on it. >>

Yes one show.. Kind of like 1 thread.. not multiple threads whining about the same thing.

I like Canadians, I'd never boo their anthem, I appreciate their help in Afghanistan and I regret the accident that caused four Canadians Soldiers to lose their life. I bet 99% of Americans feel the same. WTF else do you want? Hockey Fans and Some Basketball Fans obviously are Morons. Get over it.

Oh right. Because obviously a bunch of drunk rowdy hockey fans are thinking about military ACCIDENTS (you say it as if it was intentional) and 9/11? Don't people attend sporting events so they can FORGET about the real world for awhile?

Let's just say that if we were going to judge nations of people based on the actions of rowdy sports fans, just about every country in the world should be nuked.

I would never boo any nation's anthem or flag, not even a nation like Iraq, for which I feel a great deal of animosity.

I think this is just a sign of the times, along with other outrageous behavior at (and after) sports events. Some sports fans don't seem very sportsmanlike at all. It's not an American/Canadian thing. It's just about drunken a-holes with no manners, and those come in all nationalities, unfortunately.

It's not as if American Hooligans are roaming the streets looking for Canadians to beat up like the English, Germans, Dutch and Italians do to each other during the European Cup/Championship

it pisses me off that if i told you guys to "get over it" if it was the other way around i would be flammed til there was no tomorrow.

i mean, i bashed detroit, DETROIT for gods sake and i got flammed.
I MEAN ITS DETROIT!

excuse me? who says i was on it to begin with? i was pointing out that canadians shouldn't blame americans, or vice versa. no one should do it. i'm so glad i am a canadian though, i'm not rude.
